Meet Helen, our Clinical Director and Practice Manager! 🐾

Helen qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 1999 and brings many years of knowledge and experience to her role. While she often works behind the scenes. Helen is at the heart of our practice, guiding and supporting the team while ensuring we provide the best possible care and experience for our patients and their owners.

You may have seen May’s story shared on our social media recently. We’re delighted to share that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our clients and supporters, we’ve already raised an amazing amount through our in-practice raffle!

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to May’s care and recovery so far. Whether you’ve donated or shared her story we are truly grateful.

Our raffle is still ongoing, with all funds raised going towards covering the cost of May’s surgery and helping her on her road to recovery.

Happy Veterinary Nurses Day! 💚

Together, our nursing team has over 130 years combined clinical experience.

Veterinary Nursing: Beyond The Consult Room 🩺

The day-to-day care you might see our nurses providing:

Nail Clips - Post Operative Checks - Nurse Clinics - Weight Checks and Preventative Health Care - Advice and support for you and your pets 🐾

Behind the scenes, our nurses are busy with:

- Blood sampling and laboratory test
- Monitoring patients under general anaesthesia
- Preparing for and assisting with surgery
- Providing inpatient care
- Administrating medications
- Monitoring recovery
- Dispensing medication
- Carrying out diagnostic tests
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the practice
- Answering phone calls and your enquiries
- Infection Control, cleaning and sterilising equipment

Today we say a very special goodbye for now to our lovely vet nurse, as she heads off on maternity leave! 🥹💚

We’re going to miss having her around the practice (and no doubt the patients will too!), but we couldn’t be happier for her and wish her, her partner and their little one the very best of luck, happiness and lots of precious moments.

Enjoy every minute of your maternity leave, you’ll be missed!

We can’t wait to meet the newest member of the veterinary family! 🐶👣🩷

This raffle has been organised to help raise funds towards May’s surgery that was kindly paid for by Brambles Animal Sanctuary. May came into our care after suffering a serious leg injury, and our amazing team were able to pin her leg to give her the best possible chance of getting back on her feet. 🩷

Every £1 raised makes a difference and will help towards May’s treatment and recovery.

Stressed cat before surgery, where?🤷🏻‍♀️

We had such a handsome boy in today for his castration. It’s fair to say he was so comfortable and felt right at home.

We would like to introduce our newest puppy of the team, Meet Nelson🐶🐾

Nelson is a 12 week old Border Terrier x Jack Russell, who is now very much loved by our head nurse Kayleigh and her lovely family.
