Swaffham Veterinary Centre is a small animal veterinary surgery that was opened by vets Liam Manson, Jon Mills and vet nurse Helen Manning in May 2014. Our aim is to provide a high quality but affordable veterinary service. 🐾

We offer a comprehensive service for you and your pets at our single site purpose designed practice. We have an excellent nursing team of eight fully qualified and experienc

ed veterinary nurses working with six experienced vets and four student nurses.🩺

We offer routine appointments at times to suit you throughout the day, Monday to Saturday, and at all other times our own vets provide a full inpatient service at the practice. 🗓️

We have a spacious, fully equipped operating theatre, supported by digital x-ray and ultrasonography, with comfortable, separate dog and cat wards for hospitalised patients to recover in.🐶🐹

Our nursing team offers nurse clinics covering a wide variety of topics including nutrition and weight management, behaviour and puppy and kitten care.⚖️

We are very proud of our practice and are more than happy to show you around whenever possible.🎉

🐱We have had this lovely boy handed into us🐱

He is:
-Adult Male Neutered
-Pale Grey Tabby
-Found in Necton/Dunham area
-Chipped but details are not up to date
-Possibly re-homed from a rescue centre out of the area
-Friendly but likely been straying for a while

It’s bank holiday weekend🐾🎉

📞We are open tomorrow on an emergency basis only from 9am until 12pm.

❌Please note we are closed this Monday the 31st of August, any emergencies please call our normal telephone number and you will be redirected to our out of hours providers.

🐦 Bird Handling Training at Swaffham Vets! 🐦

Today we had some very special visitors in at Swaffham Vets. We had Lola, our PCA, kindly bring in her birds! 🥰 Alongside Emily, who has a real passion for exotic species and is currently completing her certificate in exotics, our team had the opportunity to learn all about the safe and correct handling of birds. From safely examining them to carrying out routine procedures such as claw trims and beak trims, it was a fantastic hands-on learning experience for everyone. 🦜💚

We’re always keen to develop our knowledge and skills so we can provide the best possible care for all of our patients, no matter how big, small, furry or feathered! 🐦✨

🐾 A huge well done to Taylor! 🎓💚

Over the past 12 weeks, we have had the pleasure of welcoming Taylor to Swaffham Vets as part of her first-year university placement while training to become a Veterinary Nurse.

It has been fantastic watching Taylor grow in confidence, develop her skills and put everything she has been learning at university into practice. She has worked incredibly hard, been eager to learn and has become a valued member of our team.

Sadly, the time has come for Taylor to leave us and head back to university to continue her studies. We are all going to miss having her around, but we are so proud of everything she has achieved during her time with us!

We hope to see you back with us next year for your second placement, Taylor! 🤞🏼 We would absolutely love to have you back.

Good luck with the rest of your studies — we know you’re going to make a fantastic Veterinary Nurse! 🩺🐾💚

UPDATE- we have found his owner. Thank you all for sharing this post

We have had an injured young male cat handed in.
He looks like a British blue and does not have a microchip. He was found in Narborough.
He is currently receiving emergency treatment but we really need to find his owner. Please call the surgery if you think he may be yours.
