What a funny weather day we’ve had with Bonnie, Stanley, Willow, Boo, Benny, Ruby and Herbie!

Bonnie and Stanley were first out, and it was lovely and sunny. We were having such a nice walk when I spotted a huge dark cloud looming over us, so we headed into the forest for cover. Unfortunately, it didn’t help one bit 🙈 the heavens opened and the rain was absolutely torrential! Stanley, being the all weather dog that he is, didn’t care in the slightest, but Bonnie looked absolutely furious with me for getting caught in it.🤣

Next up were Willow, Boo, Benny and Ruby. We met Bronia at the quarry, and all the dogs were so well behaved today, although they definitely had a few crazy moments. I think the torrential rain had them feeling extra excited! 🤣Boo has really found her voice lately and was making sure everyone heard it. 🤣She loves nothing more than a good chase and was running so hard at one point that she took a tumble. 🙈Thankfully, she bounced straight back up and carried on as if nothing had happened.🤣 Willow looked positively naked without her harness today! 🤣She’s another one who enjoys a good chase, but she’s definitely starting to calm down. These days she spends much of the walk happily sniffing and enjoying herself, choosing exactly when she wants to get involved in the action. Benny had fun joining in when he felt ready, but I think it was all a little too much for him at times, so he stayed close to me and Ruby while we watched the others tearing around and shook our heads at their antics. 🤣 Ruby looked absolutely drenched by the end of the walk, so everyone got a good towel dry before heading home to enjoy the warmth of the heating.

Lastly, it was Herbie’s turn. He practically dragged me down the street today he was really feeling it! I think yesterday’s longer walk did him the world of good. 🤗While we were in the TileSheds, we spotted Daisy in the distance. I called her name and she came pelting over to say hello. Not long after, Herbie spotted a squirrel and shot off after it. The squirrel was far too quick for him, but he had great fun sniffing around for it. Best of all, the rain stayed away for our walk, which made a very welcome change and left both Herbie and me much happier! 🐾 Heidi’s Paws

Monday’s Adventures with Polly, Minnie, Bonnie, Stanley, Herbie Benny and Boo.

Today was Polly’s very first group walk with us, so I decided to keep things nice and small to help her feel comfortable and settled. As she’ll be sharing many future walks with Minnie, it was important for the two girls to meet and what a success it was! 🤗The moment they were let off, they were off like old friends, chasing, playing, and racing around together. Once they’d burned off some energy, they happily strolled side-by-side as though they’d known each other forever. Polly’s recall was absolutely perfect, and she behaved impeccably throughout.🩷 While we were out, we spotted Bronia and her dogs in the distance. Knowing how friendly they all are, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to see how Polly handled a larger group. Rather than rushing straight over, Polly calmly sat and waited for them to approach her. She was understandably a little unsure at first, having several dogs running towards you can be quite overwhelming, but she quickly found her confidence. She was soon mixing with everyone as though she’d always been part of the group.💫 Minnie also had a wonderful time playing with Dutchess, and both girls certainly enjoyed burning off plenty of energy before heading home.

Next up were Stanley, Benny and Herbie.
I usually walk Herbie on his own, but with a morning appointment cutting into the day, I decided to bring the boys together for a gentle field walk. The flat ground was ideal for Herbie, and he happily managed a full hour. Not only that, but he was charging around after birds and thoroughly enjoying himself! 🤣Benny and Stanley were delighted to see their old friend. They spent the first few minutes enthusiastically sniffing Herbie from nose to tail 🤣 I think they’ve missed him! Stanley, as always, was content with his nose glued firmly to the ground, investigating every scent he could find.
Meanwhile, Benny was doing plenty roly-polies in the grass, and with four other dogs joining us during the walk, he had lots of friends to run, play, and socialise with.

Then it was Boos' walk who should have been on the last walk, but I forgot 🙈. She doesn’t normally walk with us on a Monday, so she had a solo walk with me. She was so well behaved and we went down the Ashpath so she could be off her lead and had a walk around the streets meeting lots of friendly dogs along the way. I’m so sorry boo that won’t happen again. 🐾

Friday’s Walk with Buddy, Minnie & Bonnie🐾

We had a brilliant Friday walk with Buddy, Minnie and Bonnie, and a meet up with Bronia and her gang. Buddy and Minnie were absolutely thrilled to see each other and immediately took off running and playing together. Minnie found a stick early on and spent most of the walk teasing Buddy with it, which kept them both entertained. Bonnie enjoyed joining in with the fun and exploring. We met lots of friendly dogs along the way, and when Bronia’s group joined us, everyone mixed together so well. It was lovely to see all the dogs greeting each other and instantly starting to play. 🤗 The guys spent the walk running, chasing and having fun together, making the most of the fresh air and open space. Everything was going perfectly until Minnie decided she had other plans! While most of the dogs were interested in investigating a pile of horse poo, Minnie took things a step further and rolled in it. 🙈 She was incredibly pleased with herself. After the walk, it took two showers and nearly half a bottle of shampoo to get her smelling fresh again. Apart from Minnie’s smelly adventure, it was an energetic walk filled with fun. 🐾

Thursday’s waggy Walks with George, Stanley, Bonnie, Poppy, Boo, Willow and Herbie 🐾

I started the day with a morning walk with George, Stanley and Bonnie. It was raining when we set off, but thankfully it soon stopped, which Bonnie was very happy about as she definitely does not do rain!🤣 We only saw one other person and their dog during the walk, and Stanley immediately went over to say hello. Other than that, we had the whole place to ourselves. Stanley’s fields are huge, giving the dogs plenty of space to explore and run around. This is brilliant for George, who loves to sprint off into the distance before racing back to check in with me. These three were impeccably well behaved, as always, and they have such a lovely little friendship. A great walk, guys well done! 🤗

Next, it was the turn of Poppy, Boo and Willow. We headed to the barracks at Boldon and met up with Bronia and her gang. The grass was very overgrown, and I almost lost Poppy in it at one point! 🤣Boo, on the other hand, was bouncing through it like a kangaroo, while Willow was completely chilled after her usual daft five minutes when she first gets out of the van. After that, she was an absolute angel.😇 It became quite warm, so we took the dogs through the stream to cool their paws and have a little drink. We then explored the farmers’ fields behind the barracks. Everyone was playing, having fun and enjoying themselves, and I absolutely love seeing that.

Finally, it was Herbie’s turn. We jumped in the van and headed to the park. When we arrived, there were two Labradors who wanted to say hello straight away. Everything was going well until one of them tried to mount Herbie, so I quickly moved him away 🙈 he’s far too old for that sort of nonsense! We carried on exploring the park and later met a lovely lady with a very small dog who was super friendly. Herbie enjoyed having a good sniff and saying hello. Another lovely day spent with some very special doggies. 🐾Heidi’s Paws

Waggy Wednesday with Giorgio, Minnie, Alfie, Bonnie, Polly, Stanley, Boo, Benny, and Ruby. 🐾

I was joined by Giorgio, Minnie, Alfie, and Bonnie first up for their morning walk. I hadn’t seen Giorgio for a few weeks, so we were both excited to see each other again, and he was an absolute angel as always. 💙 I gave him a ball to carry around, as he loves having a job to do, and of course I threw it for him a few times too. Minnie did her best to steal it and managed to succeed on several occasions, but Giorgio patiently waited until she lost interest before taking it back. 🤣 Alfie spent most of the walk trying to convince Giorgio to play. Luckily, Minnie was more than happy to join in, and the pair had a great time chasing each other around while Bonnie did her very best to keep up. I was very proud of her for managing the full hour. 🤗

Next up was a walk with Polly. We jumped in the van and headed to the Tilesheds. Her mam had told me that she is now off lead, so as soon as we arrived, I let her off. She impressed me so much! 💫Polly came back every time I called her and looked incredibly happy running freely through the grass. We had a lovely explore together and even met a very funny looking dog along the way. Polly really took a shine to her. I can’t wait for Polly to start joining the group walks she’s going to be a fantastic addition. 🤗

The final walk of the day was with Stanley, Boo, Benny, and Ruby. When I was collecting the dogs, the heavens had truly opened, but thankfully the rain stopped once we reached the field. Unfortunately, the grass had just been cut and was still wet, which resulted in Benny turning a rather impressive shade of green! 🙈 He had to endure a little wash-down afterwards, which he wasn’t best pleased about, but it had to be done. 💚 Benny and Boo spent much of the walk playing together, with Boo doing an excellent job of getting Benny excited and engaged. 🤣 At one point, Boo spotted some swallows swooping low over the grass and had a fabulous time trying to chase them. Meanwhile, Ruby and Stanley enjoyed a more sensible stroll, taking in all the scents and greeting a few friendly dogs along the way. They were perfectly polite, saying a quick hello before carrying on with their walk. And thankfully, the rain stayed away for the rest of the walk. 🐾

👅🐾 Tongue Out Tuesday! 🐾👅 Stanley, Bonnie, Ruby, Benny, Boo, Willow and Herbie.

First up were Stanley and Bonnie. They were more than happy to plod along, sniff every blade of grass they could find. We met a lovely man and his dog, and Stanley was very pleased to make a new friend. 🤗 With the temperatures rising, I made sure to find them a puddle for a quick paw cooling pit stop. It was a warm one, but they managed.

Then a walk with Ruby, Benny Boo, and Willow we headed to the quarry to meet up with Bronia and her gang, and within seconds Benny and Boo were off like rockets, tearing around after each other. Ruby had more important matters to attend to, namely grazing on the finest grass the quarry had to offer. 🤣Meanwhile, Willow crouched low and look d like she was plotting an ambush on Bronia’s dogs.🙈 After five minutes of madness, everyone seemed to agree that running around in this heat was overrated, and we settled into a lovely walk. I was especially impressed with Boo today. Her whistle recall was spot on, and she came back every single time I called her. Gold star for Boo! ⭐ Benny was over the moon to see Bronia again after she helped out with his walks while I was away. Ruby, meanwhile, committed grand theft of a tennis ball and proudly carried it around. 🤣. There was absolutely no intention of returning it any time soon. As for Willow, every puddle became her personal spa. 🙈 Despite clearly feeling the heat, she still made sure she was involved in every game, every chase, and every bit of excitement—especially if the big dogs were involved. Little dog, big attitude! 😂

To round off the day, it was Herbie’s turn. He spent a good portion of the walk attempting to drag me towards The Beggars Pub. One day, Herbie, we’ll make your dream come true and spend an afternoon chilling in the beer garden together. 🤣🐾 Heidi’s Paws

Polly, Lola, Minnie, Benny, Stanley, Bonnie & Herbie’s Walks 🐾

I started the day with lovely Polly. Her cousin Lola was staying with her for the week, and she really is the sweetest old girl. Before heading out, I let Lola out for a toilet break, gave her a cuddle (I couldn’t resist!) and a tasty treat. Then Polly and I set off on our walk. The first thing we spotted was an Asda van, which Polly was very keen to tell off! 😂 She was pulling quite a bit on the lead, so we took the opportunity to work on some lead manners. We stopped, reset, and practised walking calmly. It took a while and we didn’t get very far, but consistency is key and she did well. 💫 Unfortunately, the rain soon became quite heavy, so we made a dash back home. Once there, Polly enjoyed her Kong and both girls received plenty of cuddles.

Next, I collected Minnie, Benny, Stanley and Bonnie for some fun on the field. With the heavy rain earlier in the morning, I wanted somewhere safe where they could enjoy themselves without getting too muddy. As always, they had an amazing time with plenty of room to run and play. We were joined by Buddy and his mam, and everyone was delighted to see them, especially Benny, who raced straight over to say hello! 😁 Minnie stole Buddy’s ball and enjoyed getting him to chase her around. 🤣 Stanley hadn’t been out much the previous week because of the warm weather, so he was more than ready for a good run and made the most of it. 🤗 We also met lots of friendly dogs along the way, including a puppy called Leo, who came bounding over to say hello. Minnie and Benny invited him to play. He seemed a little unsure at first, but soon realised everyone was friendly and happily joined in. I’ve really missed these dogs and it was so lovely to see them all again. They were perfectly behaved and an absolute pleasure to walk.

My next visit was with Herbie. We took a short stroll to visit the horses, although they weren’t interested in coming over to see us today. 🤣 Herbie was very excited and, to be honest, I think he thought we were heading to the Beggar’s Bridge pub! He looked quite disappointed when we didn't go in. 😂 Luckily, a few treats and plenty of cuddles soon made up for it.

To finish the day, I popped back to see Polly and Lola. This time we spent some time playing in the garden, and it was lovely to see Lola stay outside with us the whole time. Polly, however, seemed a little jealous and wasn’t keen on sharing the attention! Every time I stopped to fuss Lola, Polly was straight back beside me demanding cuddles of her own. 🤣

It has been so lovely to get back to normal and spend time with all these wonderful dogs again. I can’t wait to see the rest of the gang this week! 🐶❤️🐾

🐾 Today’s walks with Stanley, Daisy, Poppy, Herbie, and Boo! 🐾

I started the day with a solo walk for Stanley! He was so happy to get out. He has a new decking area in his back garden, but bless him, he’s scared of the shiny new surfaces and won't go out there at the moment. 🙈 I'm sure you will get used to it soon, Stan! We had a lovely walk around his fields, and I hardly knew I had him. I can always rely on him to stay right close to my side. 💙

Next up, I picked up Poppy and we knocked on Daisy’s door for a walk. We headed up to the tilesheds behind Daisy‘s house so they could both have a good runaround. Every dog who meets Daisy absolutely loves her, and Poppy is a great match as she doesn’t bother her too much. Daisy really appreciates this 🤗 she runs around in front of her when she wants a chase, and Poppy happily obliges. Daisy lay right down in a puddle today, the little monkey! 🤦‍♀️ I took her through some long, wet grass to get her clean again, and she loved running through it. I lost her a few times and could just see her little head popping up in the distance, while Poppy sensibly stuck right to the path. I would definitely lose her! Every time Dasiy ran back out, Poppy gave a good chase then came straight back to me for her reward. 🤣

Next, I picked up Boo and we walked over to Herbie‘s house. She loves to try and bust through his door, jumping all over him like she doesn’t see him almost every day! 🤣 We had a walk up the ash path today since it was pretty warm. I thought Herbie might suffer if we headed to the tilesheds, and I was right. He started off so well but became very slow on the way back, so I think he really appreciated the coolness of the path. Once we dropped him off, Boo and I took a long walk around the streets. She absolutely loved saying hello to every passerby and dog—especially if the men had shorts on, which I could only apologise for! 😂 🐾

Today’s walks were full of fun, sniffing adventures, and lots of happy dogs with Minnie, Polly, Bonnie, Stanley, Benny and Boo.

First up was Minnie. I let her lead the way today, and she decided on a little trip to the fields near her house before heading back onto the streets. I think she just fancied a quick sniff around the fields today! While we were out, she spotted a huge dog and completely froze, staring at him while he stared back at her. 🤣 Every time he walked ahead, Minnie insisted we catch up, although she still wouldn’t go too close to him. His owner came over to say hello and gave Minnie a very tasty treat, which she absolutely loved! We passed lots of other dogs on our walk, and Minnie kept lying down as they approached as if she was ready to pounce and play. To top it all off, she found herself the perfect stick to carry home proudly. 🤗

Next, I went to see Polly, who was super bouncy and excited when I arrived. We enjoyed a lovely walk around the streets, and she met three different dogs along the way, loving every single interaction, which made me so happy to see. She’s still not a fan of cars, so I’m learning to keep to the quieter roads with her. After our walk, I spent some time giving her cuddles and her Kong before heading off. Later in the day, I returned for some garden playtime, and she was brilliant! She’s getting so good at bringing her ball back instead of hogging it all to herself.🤣

Then it was time for Bonnie and Stanley. Stanley had been stuck inside all morning because his garden was being done, so he was more than ready to get out for some fresh air. Both of them were taking things very slowly today. I think the warmer weather was catching up with them a bit so I found them a nice puddle where they could cool their paws down and have a little refresh. 🤗

Finally, it was Benny and Boo’s turn. We started from Boo’s house, and she was beyond excited to see Benny, jumping all over him until we reached a grassy patch where they both settled down for a good sniff and toilet break. From there, we headed up to the fields, where they had the best time running off lead through the farmer’s fields and long grass. Boo looked like she was flying, with her ears flapping up and down as she ran around, while Benny thoroughly enjoyed rolling everywhere — although he did get a little muddy! 🙈 Luckily, I managed to wipe most of it off before heading home. They both had such a wonderful time exploring this lovely new area we’ve found. 🐾
