We have been contacted by a member of the public about a male, elderly, tabby cat who has appeared in Wilmcote. He is chipped, however, the contact details are not working. He has been around for over a week and appears quite thin. If anyone has any idea who this cat may belong to, please call the practice on 01789 261471โ˜Ž๏ธ

๐Ÿ’›Senior Patient Care Focus๐Ÿ’›

Throughout October and November, we're focusing on the health and wellbeing of our senior pets๐Ÿฉบโœจ

For dogs 7+ and cats 9+, regular wellness checks can help detect disease early, prevent serious health issues, and identify conditions that may be manageable with the right care๐Ÿˆ

Sometimes, what we assume is "simply old age" can actually be a treatable condition affecting your pet's quality of life๐Ÿ•

Throughout October and November, our Senior Wellness Checks with a vet include a ๐—™๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—˜ urine screening. During these checks, our vets will review areas such as mobility, behaviour, appetite, drinking, sleeping and more.

Today we're celebrating our long-eared companions with some of our favourite rabbit facts!โœจ

๐——๐—ถ๐—ฑ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ธ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜„?
๐Ÿค A baby rabbit is called a kit, a female is called a doe and a male is called a buck
๐Ÿค Their teeth never stop growing! In fact, they grow between 3-5 inches every year. A balanced diet rich in hay and grass encourages natural wear, preventing overgrowth
๐Ÿค Rabbits rub their teeth together when theyโ€™re happy, creating a purr-like sound. When cats purr, theyโ€™re usually happy and content, and the same is true for bunnies
๐Ÿค They only blink 10-12 times per hour! For comparison, the average human blinks approximately 12 times per minute

Do you have a bunny at home? We'd love to see them below!๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
