Bacton Fayre

It's been brought to our attention that planning permission for a new village store, café and car park is currently being sought from Mid Suffolk District Council on Manor Meadow, the site used for the annual Bacton Fayre. This development (Ref: DC/26/01897) will, obviously, have implications for the Fayre. We raise this planning application here purely to inform residents and supporters of the Fayre. The application can be found on Mid Suffolk's website where public comment (both in support of and objecting to the application) can also be made. A consultation regarding this application will be held by Mid Suffolk District Council on Wednesday 10th June 2026 so any comments must be placed by then.

The Bacton Fayre Committee is running a Volunteer and Event Planning Meeting at 7pm this Thursday (16th April) at Jeffries Garage (Station Road, Bacton). We warmly welcome any local residents who are interested in helping to organise and run the Fayre to attend.

The Bacton Fayre is run for and by the people of Bacton but it can only happen with enough people to run it. Could you help to run the children's races, steward stall holders or help with setup and pack down? If so, we'd love to hear from you. We're also recruiting for a new Treasurer.

The pack down of this year’s fantastic Bacton Fayre is just about finished. What a wonderful day we had yesterday. Thanks to everyone who attended and supported this event. The Fayre is run purely for and by the people of Bacton and the surrounding villages and not for profit. Here are just a small selection of photos from the day.

Great timing seeing Graham Miles, Rural and Agricultural Chaplain on BBC Look East last night. Graham will be joining us at this year's Fayre to provide chaplancy and support for those of us involved with our farming and rural heritage.

Only a couple of days left for advance tickets for this year’s Bacton Fayre. Save £1 off the price of an adult ticket (children are free). Advance tickets are available from Jeffries of Bacton and Bacton Post Office.

Advance tickets for the 2025 Bacton Fayre are now available to buy from Jeffries of Bacton and Bacton Post Office at a reduced price of £4 per adult ticket. Advance ticket sales end on Friday 25th July.
