Suffolk Animal Rescue We pride ourselves on being non-selective about the animals needing our help. VISITORS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

We give priority to feral and elderly cats as few rescue organisations are interested in spending time and money rehabilitating these poor animals for a new life.

It is with great sadness that we have lost Dear Pat May. Our sincere condolences to all her family and friends, she will be so sadly missed. Pat was currently our longest serving volunteer in our charity shop in Felixstowe Road, Tuesday and Saturday shoppers will no doubt have had many chats with her. She was with us in our very first charity shop many years ago up at Queensway and has been very loyal to us for so many years. After a brief stay in hospital Pat left us on the 10th of October 2026.
Her funeral will be held at the Old Crematorium on the 4th of November at 11.45, followed by a wake at the California Club.
Everyone welcome, family flowers only please by the request of Pat's family. Donations may be made to Suffolk Animal Rescue.

Our dear Poppet still recuperating from her leg surgery, but now happy in her foster home. Such a sweet girl. A brand new life ahead of her, after being picked up stray beside the A140 with a damaged leg.
Huge thanks to Alice Tilbury and her partner for getting Poppet to safety. They then went on to organise a fundraiser in the Debenham Lion to help us with her vet bills. £500 raised on the night. Thank you to all who contributed, but best of all thanks to Poppets amazing fosterer's for giving her the TLC she so needed, and for helping set her up ready for a new home. Watch this space as she'll be up for adoption soon and it doesnt get better than that.

We currently have 7 beautiful dogs who are really struggling to find new homes. None of them are 'Devil dogs' just dogs that have on the whole do have bite history or are reactive to other dogs.
Kennels is not the ideal place for these poor dogs, imagine living in a kennel for months if not years! It certainly does not help their mental state. Although our girls are great with working with these dogs and manage them very well, they need to move on. The training and trust they achieve in kennels needs to continue in a new home environment, what can be achieved in a kennel is very limited. They have all been let down by previous owners. Many just need to wear a muzzle when out in public, how hard is that really?
If you cannot train and socialise a dog do not get one. Everyday we get numerous calls from the general public wanting us to take in their problem dogs. There are many dog trainers, some better than others, but so many people dont even try and just want to pass the problem on.
We cannot take on any more problem dogs until some of our present lodgers find their forever homes. Basic help and advice is always offered. These dogs generally need to be homed to adult only homes without other pets this is so that the dog can be more easily trained in his/her new home. Time and patience is of the essence, miracles do not happen overnight.
Please consider helping us to help them.

Thank you to all of you that donate to us. We have several individuals doing their own fundraising on our behalf and we are extremely grateful, this is how we manage our huge monthly vet bills for the animals in our care.
Our Sandra Mitchell raised £1000 on her stall at the recent Dogs in Need stall up at the Show ground, Felixstowe Bowls and Social Club recently sent us £437 from their fundraising efforts, Megan Watson also did some fundraising and donated £700. Framsden Greyhound s recent quiz night raised £235 and Shirley Hinchliffe of Beardies in Need also raised £196.50 for our funds. Huge thanks to all involved, it is a huge weight off our shoulders.
We get many online donations, many of which come through from 'Much Loved' an online funeral service. Sadly, we do not get any information about the donors, but appreciate SAR being considered at such a sad time for the families concerned. We have recently received £2874 in Memory of the late Raymond Arthur Goudy of Cotton. Our sincere condolences to all who have lost a loved one.
The Cooperative society do their own fundraising for charities of their choice, which runs for a 3 month period. We were lucky enough to be nominated for this by Capel St Mary Coop and have now received £821 . Both Haughley and Barham are currently doing their fundraising for us through to January.
We really cannot thank you all enough for everything you do, whether it is monthly standing orders, one off donations when we appeal for emergency vet bills of which there has been several lately, or even just selling unwanted items on our behalf.
THANK YOU

**DENI**

Age: 11 years young
Breed: Staffordshire x (20kg)
Gender: Female
Can live with children: 10 plus
Can live with dogs: Yes
Can live with cats: Yes

Deni came into our care after her owner tragically passed away. She was in a bit of a sorry state but is on the road to recovery and is looking for her forever home. She is chipped and neutered but is waiting to be vaccinated (this will be done).

Deni is a young dog at heart. She is playful and bouncy and just happy to be alive. She adores humans and is keen to say hello to everybody and anybody. She does jump up but it's all part of her charm!

Deni would suit a fit retired person or couple as its likely her previous owner was around alot

Deni is dog friendly and we feel she would happily live with another.
She has lived with cats before and could live with children 10+.

Deni does suffer with dry eye in both eyes and needs eye drops throughout the day.

These can be bought very cheaply at any pharmacy and she is an angel having them put in! Bar this she is completely healthy with no underlying conditions.

Could you offer this lovely lady a forever home?

Extra requirements: Indoor home

Eddie is a super sweet kitten. He came in severely injured, missing a toe with a bone in his paw exposed! With careful management he is now fully healed and ready for a home. He is chipped and fiv/felv negative but is too young to neuter.

Eddie has been in foster since his arrival and has learnt a lot about a home. He is a super friendly, super cuddly boy. He is used to cats of all ages and dogs of all sizes. He is a confident boy who just loves to play.

Eddie loves his humans and having cuddles. He is such a playful boy he would benefit from living with another cat! Due to his injury he is looking for an indoor home. His wound is fully healed but his foot will always look a bit silly!

If you can offer this smashing boy a loving home please fill out our online application form linked below:
