I know a lot of you find it hard to take a break or holiday due to not being able to leave your dogs. You feel it is too much to ask your friends or family as you have so many dogs? Well now you can have a break!

I am interested in hearing from you and chatting through how I can help get you a break away. I am happy to start with an overnight or weekend and gain your trust with your beloved dogs.

Experience with in season bi***es, keeping dogs seperate and looking for signs of pregnancy, caring for puppies and Mum, hand feeding if needed.

*FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH SMALL HOLDINGS OR LARGE ESTATES.. I know a lot of you rely on friends and other farmers to look after your animals and many of you don't even take a break due to not being able to leave the animals. Well now you can! I am interested in hearing from you and chatting through how I can help get you a break away. I am happy to start with an overnight or weekend and gain your trust with your beloved animals.

My experience so far has been with dogs including 10 kennelled working border collies, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, exotic and fish, sheep, goats, chickens, geese and ducks. I am comfortable around cows and horses (have ridden and groomed) but do not claim to be an expert however I'm happy to learn about the animal from you and I can feed, water muck out and turn out etc if the animals temperament is friendly and calm.

We are offering walks, pop ins and some pet sitting starting September 2026! Stowmarket area.

Previously Tails and Trails have offered predominantly dog boarding and are well known in the area for our great dog holidays unfortunately we cannot offer this service at this time.

We are now offering these other services and also including other animals too such as cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and reptiles.

In our experience these services get very booked up especially when the schools start back so message us early to avoid disappointment.

Here is an example of what 'bespoke dog boarding' holiday means.

Paddy has come to stay and he is used to having his mince fried off and mixed into his biscuits. Each biscuit has to be covered in the meat and juices for him to eat it. Here's a sweet photo of him in his cool jacket waiting for his dinner!

If they have belly rubs or 3 treats before bed time or a dentastick, cucumber or carrot then that's what they have here. I take the time to learn which commands words they know to make it as much like home as possible which eases any anxiety. Predictability helps them to be calm and trust that we know what they need.

Most importantly we Love them like they are our own dogs. ❤️

Its been a pleasure to see our friends Monty, Ziggy, Benson, Bernie and Julie. We have been keeping cool the last 2 days with fans, damp towels and ice cubes in water bowls. We have been out for walks at 7am and 10pm some days. But they've still managed to enjoy themselves. 🥵

New dog Rambo on his first trial day, getting to know Jack one of our regulars. Started a little excited but now having a nice nap after his socialising and acclimatising to his new surroundings.

Look forward to having him back for his overnight stay soon.
