Walking Dogs Safely on Darker Nights

As the evenings draw in and our walks get a little darker, it’s more important than ever to keep our furry friends safe and visible.

Here’s how I make sure every pup stays happy and secure on their night‑time adventures:

🔦 High‑vis leads & harnesses so your dog can always be seen
💡 LED collar lights for extra visibility
🧥 Reflective clothing (for me and the pups!)
🚶‍♀️ Sticking to well‑lit routes and familiar paths
🐶 Keeping dogs close to avoid any unexpected surprises

Your dog’s safety is always my priority — whether it’s bright sunshine or a cosy autumn dusk.

If you’d like to book evening walks or chat about what works best for your dog, just drop me a message or call 07800 767962.

🍂 Safe, happy walks all year round.

🍂 September Dog‑Walking Tips for Happy Autumn Adventures! 🐾

September is here, and our walks are starting to feel a little crisper around the edges. If you’re heading out with your four‑legged friend this month, here are a few simple things to keep in mind:

Watch the weather swings — mornings can be chilly, afternoons surprisingly warm. Keep an eye on your dog’s comfort and bring water on longer walks.

Beware of early autumn hazards — conkers and acorns are starting to fall, and both can be dangerous if eaten.

Check for seasonal allergies — late‑summer pollen and mouldy leaves can cause sneezes or itchy skin.

Stay visible — darker evenings are creeping in, so reflective leads, collars or a hi‑vis jacket make a big difference.

Keep routines steady — kids going back to school can change the household rhythm, and some dogs feel that shift. Extra reassurance (and extra walks!) help.

September is one of the best months to explore — cooler air, quieter parks, and plenty of snuffle‑worthy smells. Enjoy every step with your pup! 🐶💛
