URGENT UPDATE - WESTGLEN PREMIER HEELWORK TO MUSIC COMPETITION
After further discussion the Westglen Committee regretfully announce that the forthcoming Competition on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March, will now be cancelled.
A number of people including judges have expressed their concern regarding the Coronavirus. The situation is worsening daily and some people are understandably worried and quite a few had contacted us and taken the decision not to attend.
Over the last two days, Cold/Flu-like symptoms have affected one of our committee quite badly, and she has now self isolated just in case. Unfortunately most of the committee have been in close contact, so after much discussion and in consideration to the health and welfare of all concerned, the decision was taken to cancel.
The committee apologises for any inconvenience caused, but thought it best to let everyone know ASAP to enable the cancellation of travel/accommodation arrangements for the coming weekend.
We are aware that a lot of people will be thoroughly disappointed - including us! An awful lot of hard work has already gone into preparing for this Competition so this was a very tough call, a hard decision for us to make and was not done lightly. Therefore, in light of these exceptional circumstances we would ask you all to support our decision.
We will be adhering to the KC rules regarding refunds and will keep you informed as soon as we have any further details. Please be patient.
