Little Rascals School for Dogs

Pigeon also took part in her first Entry trial at Sniffs and Giggles Scent Dogs, she did well & got 2 out of 4 badges, vehicle & selection, coming away with the reserve medal. We haven’t trialed since may as agility takes over 🙈 so she did very well.

This afternoon Monkey did her enhanced ORT with Sniffs and Giggles Scent Dogs & passed.

Today we hosted Michael from Paws ‘n’ Claws Training for his play workshop to help us build play in our dogs & improve relationships & confidence.

Fair to say by the smiles on peoples faces everyone enjoyed it.

Thanks to SO Agility Training for allowing the use of their venue. We managed the morning outside but rain put us indoors for the afternoon, it’s great to have a local venue that we get the option of inside when in Scotland

🐾 1 MONTH FREE – CANINE FITNESS CONNECTION! 💪🐶

I’ve got a little something for anyone who wants to give canine fitness a go! 👀

You can get 1 MONTH FREE access to Canine Fitness Connection using my code:

🎟️ LITTLERASCALS

Pigeon has been following the programme for around 2 months now, and I’ve been really impressed with the difference I’m seeing in her. 💜

We originally added structured fitness work to help make her as strong, balanced and physically prepared as possible, particularly with the demands agility puts on her body.

And it’s definitely starting to show!

Improved strength & overall fitness
Better body awareness and control
More confidence around an agility course
And most importantly for Pigeon… FASTER TIMES!

Alongside the performance benefits, one of the biggest reasons I do fitness work with my dogs is injury prevention. We can never completely prevent injuries, but building a stronger, fitter dog gives their body the best possible chance of coping with everything we ask of them.

If you fancy trying it with your own dog, you can get your first month completely FREE using:

Code: LITTLERASCALS

Definitely worth giving it a go — your dog might end up fitter than you. Pigeon certainly is fitter than me. 🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️🐶

🐾 Skills Awards – Why taking your time matters 🐾

One of the things I love about NNA is that it allows teams to progress at a pace that suits them.

A dog can stage up once they have achieved 2 badges in each element, but NNA also encourages handlers to really build confidence and consistency by aiming for all 3 badges in each element. Achieve this and you’re rewarded with a silver Skills Award pin badge 🥈🐾

It can be tempting to move up as soon as you can, but remember… just because your dog can stage up doesn’t always mean they should.

Taking the time to gain more experience in all search elements helps build stronger foundations, confidence, problem-solving skills and a more resilient search dog. The next stage will always be there, but a solid foundation is priceless.

Celebrate the journey, not just the stage progression 🐶💜💚
