Spring has sprung!
We are always happy to see and try to help wildlife but please remember sometimes they do need to be left where they are.
Tawny Owls leave the nest before they can fly, and clamber round the tree, in a phase called "branching". This can lead to them falling to the ground and being mistakenly rescued by well meaning people. If left alone, healthy young Tawny Owls can usually climb back up the tree themselves. If you find one, unless it is in immediate danger, or obviously injured, make sure to ring a rescue centre for advice before picking it up!
