Puppy School has published the top 100 names people chose for their puppies in 2025.

How did you choose your puppy's name?

The Top 100 Puppy School Names of 2025 are in...

Here are three trends we've noticed:

🐾 Human & vintage names lead, classics like Henry, Reggie, Ralph and Winnie.
🐾 Pop culture & mythology influence choices, such as Loki, Ozzy, Nova and Ziggy.
🐾 Classic dog names are here to stay; Max, Charlie, Buddy and Rex remain trusted staples of the top 100.

And can you spot the sneaky entry that's not really a name...? We love that we have so many owners that are so organised, they've booked the classes before they've even named their puppy!

Did your dog’s name make the list — or did any surprise you?

Puppy School's accrediting body, The Animal Behaviour and Training Council, has become the first organisation in our field to have reached the first stage in being officially recognised by UKAS, the UK’s national governmental body for quality standards.

For puppy owners, this is great news. It confirms that when you choose a Puppy School trainer, you are choosing someone who works to independently recognised, ethical, and science-based standards that puts animal welfare first.

Also, when you enrol your puppy onto one of our Puppy School courses, you benefit from exclusive access to The Puppy Club, a unique on-line resource offering advice and videos that support and complement the six-week course.
