The day started well and first to go on a walk and play ball was George. All went well , played ball and had a nice walk. It wasn’t raining and was pleasantly warm and George was thirsty so decided to have a quick drink from a water trough on route back to the farm. Then without warning he lept into the trough and started swimming, almost taking me with him on the other end of the lead!! Oh my Woolley word! He absolutely loves water but a water trough!!! …. hardly enough room to swim and the poor giant gold fish that’s been in there for years must have had the shock of its life being faced with a rather large creature that you don’t normally see in a water trough!! Reluctant to get out and very keen to get back in I quickly took him to the paddock to dry off ……
Mr Merlin on the other hand has preferred a more laid back day with a bit of ball play and a lot of mooching when the sun popped his head from behind the clouds.
Last, but not least, Dottie was with us yesterday….. she was a little tired from her week in Scotland and was happy to play during the morning and happy to rest during the rainy afternoon 🤗
And for anyone worried about George ….. he came to no harm and perfectly dry by the time he went home. He is without doubt our most mischievous regular at Paws in the Paddock but you just can’t help but love him 😂🥰

We all know that Health is our Wealth and none of us what’s around the corner. This afternoon Phil & Gary, 2 gentlemen I’ve never met before approached me to tell their story of cancer touching close members of their families….. I’m not sure how many familes it doesn’t affect these days 🥲 They want to raise money to give a little back to Dougie Mac and the Leukaemia Charity by doing a 48 hour fish in August and asked if they could fish the farm pond. I was more than happy to say yes in the hope that I can help them to raise as much money as they can. Please share this link and donate if you can no matter how small and I will remind everyone closer to the time to pop round say hi to them and maybe donate. In the mean time I’m hoping to come up with more fund raising ideas over that weekend 🥰
