out of all the bigger dogs at cdh rose is probably one of the most well behaved and well mannered of them all!, this 6 year old beauty can be walked politely on the lead with no pulling at all and listens to commands straight away and she is happy to walk past other dogs and doesn't mind strangers paying her attention or having a fuss!

rose is also non destructive in her kennel and she sits waiting very nicely too!, we did notice rose does not like water or mud, she will find any route to avoid it!, however she is very happy to watch us wade through it just so she can keep dry!.

there are a lot of dogs here just like rose who are still awaiting their furever home...

Boa has been struggling to find her furever home....

Meet boa, boa is a 10 year old female jack russell, boa has come in through no fault of her own at all 🙁 boa did come in with bourbon but boa did bully her in the kennels, we have had to separate them for re-homing.

not to be re-homed in abbey hulton area.

we have been told that boa used to live outside with her housemate in the day and was crated in the house at night and that boa used to go on extremely long walks with her owner, we have also been told that boa will need a home without any other pets, boa did come in with another terrier but boa did bully her in the kennels 🙁 so we have had to separate them and re-home them both on their own.

we do also know that boa does not like rats or small animals and will attack rats and will also dig if she knows they are around.
besides boa's instinct she can be better at walking and walking past other dogs, she doesn't bother unless the other dog barks at her and creates, she is more relaxed of the two when out.
we have been told that boa has been around children but we have been asked for older children by her owner.

we think boa would suit an owner/owners with no other pets at all with a secure garden she cannot dig out of and a home where she can get lots of attention and the mental stimulation and exercise that she needs, boa can walk past other dogs here fine but it they give her any barking she will bark back.

no children or any other pets and a very secure garden, boa will need a terrier experienced owner!

Meet bourbon, bourbon is a female terrier and she will be 8 in october, bourbon has come in through no fault of her own at all 🙁

besides bourbons instinct bourbon is extremely friendly with staff and she craves attention and lots of excercise, she does have a lot of energy and will enjoy long walks and mental stimulation, bourbon did live with children in her previous home but we have been asked for older children by her previous owner.

Meet cass, cass is a female x breed and cass was brought into us via the dog warden service and she has never been re-claimed :( we approximate cass at around 12 months old. we have given cass her name.

since cass has been in with us she has been a good girl for us, cass is clean her kennel and seems to be fine with other dogs here, cass can however be very strong on the lead and does pull, she will need training with this.

once out of the kennel cass likes to take the staff for walks!, she will pull and will be very observational, she will also like to try and take you to wherever she wants to go!, cass is also very playful and enjoys playing with toys here, she is also very affectionate and does know some commands also when she is calm.

we believe cass will need a home where her owner/owners can help train her with her pulling on the lead so she can start to walk nicely, cass is also full of energy and extremely fast!, she will need a large garden where she can complete her zoomies!, she also loves to play fetch! and other dogs would be dependent on a succcessful meet and greet.

kyda is an akita x and was found as a stray, since kyda has been with us she has been very shy and reserved, she comes out in the morning to eat her food and then runs back into her kennel to hide :( she also has urine stains up her legs and all over her back end from lying previous in urine :(

we have been spending a lot of time with kyda since she has come into us getting her to realise that not all humans are bad, she loves her walks and loves to have a good sniff in the rocks and crevices around the moor, kyda does light up when she sees staff who tend to her but she isn't much for a lot of affection yet :( this will take some time and patience.
