Pupdate....Well it's been a week since our gorgeous silver labrador puppies left us for their fantastic new homes.

With the weather being a lot cooler today, our beautiful silver labrador puppies had chance to have a little run around outside. 😍

Out in the fields Tracking today with Rogue (Di's dog, who is a more experienced tracking dog) and Boss (Dean's less experienced dog).
A track is laid by walking across land, articles of different materials are dropped on the track (we used wadding, wood and leather) the track is left to age for a time (depending on the experience of the dog) we then use a line with lengths from 5m to 10m (again depending on the dog) The dog then sets off from the start pole, tracking each individual footprint and when they come across an article they lie down with the article in between their front feet to indicate they have found something.
When practicing we always use food in some of the footprints, the amount used again depends on the dog. We also reward with food when an article is indicated on.
The only time food is left out all together is in a competition. 🐾

All our puppies outside areas have sunscreens set up to help keep them nice and cool whilst outside and to keep their rooms cool too. ☀️🐾☀️

It is always wise to remember that puppies can overheat very quickly and their small bodies dehydrated a lot quicker than an adult dog.

*Please note that all our puppies have access to their whelping rooms which have food and fresh water in at all times.

Pupdate....from the gorgeous Kevin's lovely owners!

He is extremely clever. Knows all the basics (sit, down, wait, stay, paw, touch, middle, heel, roll over), great on a lead and his recall is really good. We have been so impressed! He loves learning, training is his favourite time of day. He loves a scent game too, snuffle Matt’s etc. we’ve been going to some puppy classes and he’s been getting lots of praise from the trainer - we’re very proud! I’m sure a lot comes from mum and dad, good genes! Xx
