Transport : We offer safe and comfortable transportation and travel time is not included in the walk time, so your dog won't miss out on those precious minutes in the fresh air! Dirty talk: It's inevitable that we'll often get wet and dirty on our walks as we roam around in fields, woods and muddy paths! We'll always make sure dogs are towelled off and mucky paws are wiped down upon their return!
Flying solo: If you're not home on walk days we will make sure that your dog is left with fresh water, a tasty treat and a goodbye cuddle before we leave them alone. Pupdates: If you, like us, get separation anxiety when you have to leave your best friend behind, don't worry, we can send you pupdates via WhatsApp letting you know what they're up to on their walks and if you're happy to let us share your pup on social media we'll also pop posts and stories on our Instagram account so you can follow their adventures with us. Security: Worried about handing over your house key's to a stranger? Don't be, security is high on our list of priorities. Doors will always be locked, gates secured and keys are locked in a hidden safe in our vehicle for maximum security and no risk of them being lost. Any personal data we hold for you will also be kept safely and securely in accordance with GDPR guidelines. Qualifications: Whilst at present in the UK there are no regulations for dog walkers, this didn't sit well with us and wasn't the way we wanted to operate. Leaving your pet with an unqualified, unregulated dog walker would be like leaving your child at an ungoverned nursery - you just wouldn't do it! So we turned to one of the most trusted establishments in the UK when it comes to animals- the RSPCA. Their latest guidelines for dog walkers recommends the City and Guilds Level 2 Competence in Dog Walking Diploma, so that's what we did! So Roam Around is a professional service supported by a qualification which includes doggy first aid. We're covered by the appropriate insurance so you can rest assured that you and your pet are in safe, sensible hands. Current Affairs: And as with all things at the moment, we must mention the dreaded Corona Virus! Whilst we are under lockdown restrictions we, of course, are tailoring our services to adhere to guidelines and ensure safe practise for all concerned.
