The last few weeks have really made me reconsider how I run my business.
I’ve recently had some time off for a holiday, so for the last few weeks I’ve been working Saturdays and Sundays to catch up, and I’m doing the same again this week. Unfortunately, the number of no-shows has become ridiculous.
I completely understand that life happens and unexpected things come up. If you need to cancel or rearrange, just let me know—I’ll always do my best to help. But simply not turning up with no explanation has a huge impact on my business.
As a self-employed groomer, I still have wages, rent, water, electricity, and all the other running costs to pay, whether appointments are attended or not. While this only affects a small minority of my wonderful clients, it makes a significant difference.
Because of this, I’ll be introducing a new booking policy with immediate effect:
🐾 A deposit will be required at the time of booking (no deposit = no appointment).
🐾 Deposits must be paid within 24 hours to secure your booking.
🐾 If you fail to attend your appointment without notice, the remaining balance will be due before any future appointments can be booked.
This isn’t a decision I’ve wanted to make, but it’s the fairest way to protect my business and ensure I can continue providing the best service for all my loyal clients.
