🐶✨ WHY ARE PUPPY GROOMS SO IMPORTANT? ✨🐶

Puppy grooms aren’t just about making your little one look adorable (although that’s definitely a bonus! 😍) — they’re about helping your puppy grow up feeling happy, confident and comfortable with being groomed. 🐾

Starting grooming from a young age helps your puppy get used to:
✂️ Clippers, scissors & brushes
🛁 Baths & the sound of the dryer
🐾 Having their paws, ears and face handled
💗 Being touched all over by a groomer
🏠 The sights, sounds & smells of the salon
😊 The whole grooming experience without it becoming overwhelming

Regular puppy visits also mean we can gradually introduce everything at your puppy’s own pace. We want their first experiences to be positive ones, so they learn that grooming is nothing to be scared of. 🥰
Waiting until your puppy desperately needs a full haircut can sometimes make the experience much harder for them. Starting with short, gentle puppy grooms allows them to build confidence before they need longer sessions.

And remember — puppy grooms aren’t about achieving the perfect haircut straight away. They’re about building trust, confidence and good habits for life. ❤️

At Dog Grooming by Amy, we take our puppy appointments slowly and patiently, giving every little one plenty of reassurance, cuddles and positive experiences. 🐶💕
