On Sunday we had a slightly less warmer day at Drax but nonetheless we had fun running our 2 teams racing!

Sin - Havoc - Solo - Zander

These dogs took back to grass like a duck to water (which given the weather is highly appropriate 🤣). With a few teams pulling due to conditions it was a great chance for this team to continue to gel and make them confident racing on grass ahead of Goodwoof 2026. And they even came away with a luminous ribbon for coming 1st in Division 1 🎉

Ness - Inka - Flo - Storm

These dogs unfortunately went WFC on Sunday so we could reinforce some techniques whilst still in a racing environment and by the end of the day were flying up and down the lanes!

Today we’ve been soaking up the sunshine in Drax! We’ve had a fairly relaxed day with only 1 team racing today!

These dogs coped brilliantly in the heat and the switch onto grass today - winning Division 2 Staggered!

Today also saw quite a few dogs winning some awards as well:

💙Keg gaining 1000 points for his Flyball Dog Award

💙Roo gaining 1000 points for her Flyball Dog Award

💙Rydal gaining 1000 points for his Flyball Dog Award

💙Solo gaining a huge 10,000 points and achieving his Silver Award

On Saturday we travelled to Horseley Fen for a action packed and fun filled day thanks to Cambridgeshire Flyball

🥇Howling 4 Balls
Neil - Ness - Inka - Flo - Storm

These dogs are really starting to gel together and proved this by winning Division 5 🎉

🥇Flying 4 Balls
Nell - Hemi - Rydal - Rory - Daisy

Now that Nell and Ellie have sorted their starts out these dogs smashed their team record with 15.96 on Saturday! These dogs are so consistent that they won Division 4 as well!

🥇Raging 4 Balls
Sin - Havoc - Zander - Solo

With this being Sin’s 3rd open competition, these dogs and handlers are settling into their new rhythm and it’s starting to show! Clean and consistent pays off as they also won Division 2!

🥈Barking 4 Balls
Keg - Roo - Creed - Keo

These 4 dogs and handlers had one mission for Saturday - run clean. Whilst letting the side down by being the only team not to get 1st place 🤣 we managed to run clean and gained another nice time of 14.27 things are shaping up for these young dogs!

💙Ness also gained her Cadet Advanced award for achieving 1000 points.

💙Sin also gained her Cadet Advanced award as well achieving 1000 points.

💙Hemi gained her Cadet Superior award for achieving 5000 points.

💙Nell was also awarded the Level 3 Inca Award for the biggest character. Anyone who knows Nell will know that this didn’t come as a surprise to Ellie as Nell quite often doesn’t do as she’s told, bites her, won’t let go of the tug, the list could go on! But on a serious note - thank you Abbie Mellor for the award - we wouldn’t have Nell any other way!

Well Anglesey, you certainly made Easter weekend an experience that we won’t forget in a hurry!! Between missing skylights, surviving Storm Dave and invading Carbooters it was definitely a different race weekend from normal. Thankfully in between all the chaos we also managed some fantastic racing with all 4 league teams racing both Saturday and Sunday:

Howling 4 Balls: Racing with a new line up of young green dogs and experienced dogs this team grew in confidence over the weekend and really started to gel with each other.
Ness, Neil, Inka, Flo & Storm.
Saturday Div 8: 2nd 🥈
Sunday Div 7: 2nd 🥈

Flying 4 Balls: We had great fun reuniting pals Nell and Hemi together again in this team and both girls loved racing together, these dogs are so consistent (more than the handlers 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️) and love to race.
Saturday Div 4: 1st 🥇
Hemi, Rory, Rydal, Daisy
Sunday Div 5: 1st 🥇
Nell, Hemi, Rydal, Daisy

Raging 4 Balls: This team saw Sin step up to 2nd team in only her 2nd competition and race with the big boys. She held her head against some speedy competition and got faster throughout the weekend. The addition of Sin to this team also saw a new Team Record of 15.09 seconds, with plenty more in the tank this team is definitely one to watch.

Sunday Div 2: 3rd 🥉

Barking 4 Balls: It was great to get these dogs out for 2 days of competition to get all of us back into the rhythm of racing, it is certainly coming together with 14.28s on Saturday and 14.23s on Sunday with some very exciting ‘nearly’ times on the clock (and yes, my pass was once again rubbish on our fastest time of the weekend 🙈🙈). Really excited to see what these dogs (and handlers) can achieve this year but this is certainly a promising start 💙💙

Monday saw Ness racing as an NFC in singles so that we could work on her box turn and chase and she absolutely smashed it with some lovely box work and not a single chase 🎉🎉
