Poppy is one of our littlest Canine Club members, and we noticed she was finding the step in and out of the club a little tricky. So, naturally, we had to come up with a solution!
We’ve created the perfect mini ramps, making coming in and out of Canine Club easier, safer and much more comfortable. 🥰

Because sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference and we want every member, big or small, to feel completely at home at Canine Club.

Sunday evening really does have a way of making you question where the weekend went, what you actually achieved, and whether it’s too late to pretend Monday doesn’t exist. 😂🐶

A wagging tail is one of the things we often associate with a happy dog… but it's not quite that simple! 🐶
Dogs wag their tails to communicate a whole range of emotions... excitement, happiness, uncertainty, frustration and even anxiety.

That's why we don't look at the tail in isolation at Canine Club.
We look at the whole dog 👀

🐾 Is their body relaxed or tense?
🐾 Are their ears relaxed or pinned back?
🐾 What are their eyes and facial expressions telling us?
🐾 Is the tail loose and sweeping, or stiff and fast?
🐾 Are they choosing to engage, or trying to create space?

Learning to read these little signals helps us understand how a dog is feeling and, importantly, when they might need a little space.

Because good canine care isn't just about knowing when a dog is having fun.
It's about understanding what they're telling us.

🐾 Why do we have assessments at Smith’s Canine Club? It’s simple really… we want to get to know your pup!
Our assessments give us the chance to learn a little about their personality, see how they interact with other dogs and make sure that our doggy day care is the right environment for them.

We’re not about taking every dog that walks through the door. Our priority is making sure every dog at the club is happy, comfortable and suited to the group environment. 🐶
And if we feel your pup isn’t quite ready or that day care might not be the right fit, it’s nothing personal! It’s simply about doing what’s best for them.

Sometimes they might just need a little extra training or support first, and we’re more than happy to work with you on this. And if we don’t think our club is the right option, we’ll always try to point you towards the best next steps for your individual dog.

Because for us, it’s not about filling spaces… It’s about creating a happy, safe and balanced club where every dog can thrive. 🐾

It’s not just a wall of leaves… there’s plenty going on here! 🐶👃
Our enrichment wall is designed to encourage dogs to use one of their most important senses... their nose!

We hide treats and interesting scents amongst the different tubes and foliage, encouraging the dogs to sniff, search and problem-solve as they work out where the rewards are hiding.

Scent-based activities like this can be a great way to provide mental stimulation, encourage natural foraging behaviours and help keep curious minds occupied, all while making it fun!

Because at Canine Club, it’s not all about running around… sometimes the best exercise is for the brain! 🧠🐕

When you meet your bestie at Canine Club and suddenly every day is the BEST DAY EVER 🐶
One of our favourite things about daycare? Watching friendships like these form 🥹 From zoomies around the garden to causing chaos together and eventually crashing out side by side… there’s nothing quite like finding your perfect playmate! 🐾

Yawn… 🥱 This is the general consensus after a long Bank Holiday weekend 😂
Back to work?
Kids back at school?
Feeling like you need another weekend already?!

Don’t worry... whilst you’re getting back into the swing of things, we’ve got the important stuff covered… your four-legged friends!
Plenty of cuddles, fun and tail wags to ease them back into the routine too!

A little more greenery at Canine Club...We’ve given our Canine Club signage a little refresh, and we think it’s looking pretty good.
Just one more little touch to make the club feel even more welcoming for all our four-legged members. 🐶

Everyone’s in a panic getting ready for back-to-school next week… 😂
But don’t panic if your pup is coming to Canine Club!
There’s no need to worry about packing absolutely everything... tail wags are the most important thing on our list!
We expect plenty of cuddles, tail wags, playtime and happy faces all day long. 🐶
We’ll provide the fun… You just bring the pup! 🐾
