As a temporary measure until we have the all clear from the vets the tracks behind High Farm linking to Sleepy Hollow have been closed off to allow riders at High Farm an area to ride where they can avoid contact with horses from the other farms. Please until further notice theses tracks should only be used by horses stabled at High Farm. Thank you for your co-operation.

There is a confirmed case of EHV-4 at Thornton High Moor Farm. We have been advised by the vets to put Thornton High Moor Farm into lockdown until further notice. No horses stabled on other yards should enter the premise/ use the facilities until further notice. Can I ask clients at Thornton High Moor to restrict their riding to the premise until further notice. Horses that have had direct contact will be stabled until advised otherwise. Please follow strict biosecurity protocols and limit contact to your own horse until further notice. I’ve included a link to BHS protocol for Equine Herpes Virus. Please look at the protocol for EVH-4. This is what has been confirmed. Thank you for your help and understanding with this matter.

All planned clinics at Thornton High Moor are obviously cancelled until further notice.
