📢 PRIME RAW UPDATE — SOME GOOD NEWS! 🐾❤️

Following my last post, I’ve now had the chance to speak directly with the owner of Prime Raw to get the full story — and thankfully, there was a bit of a misunderstanding on our part.

So, I wanted to come back and give you all the correct information. ❤️

For the time being, the full range of Prime Raw is staying available.

This means all of your favourites, including the beef, blueberry and fruit-based recipes, will continue to be available until the new raw range is ready to launch.

The current 30+ choice range isn’t being kept permanently — it will remain available as a temporary measure while Prime Raw gets the new range ready. Once the new raw is released, the range will then change over.

One important thing to mention is that the current recipes will be the upgraded recipes containing chicken bone. So while your favourite flavours are still available, the recipe itself has changed to include chicken bone.

And here’s the really positive part…

The new raw will be single-source protein, making it a fantastic option for dogs who need a particular protein or have sensitivities — and it will be reasonably priced too. 🙌

Manufacturing is expected to start as early as next week, so we should hopefully have much more information to share with you very soon! 🤞🐶

I’m really pleased I took the time to speak directly with the owner, because I know the original news caused a bit of concern for some of you.

As always, we want to be completely upfront and honest with our customers, and if there’s ever something we’re unsure about, we’ll always do our best to get the correct information before jumping to conclusions.

So, for now, your Prime Raw favourites are still available, but please remember they are now made with the upgraded recipe containing chicken bone. ❤️

We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more about the new range and when we have a release date.

SINGLE SOURCE PROTEINS 🥩🐔🦃🐑

Following the recent news surrounding Prime Raw, we just wanted to reassure our customers that we will still be stocking Prime and the range they are currently working with.

Prime is a great budget-friendly raw feeding brand, and if your dog has no issues or allergies to chicken, there’s absolutely no reason to avoid their products. ❤️

However, we know that some dogs do need to avoid chicken, or that owners simply prefer to have more choice when it comes to single-source proteins.

So, we’re going to be expanding our range and bringing in another chub brand with chicken-free options. 🙌

We’ll be stocking a selection of single-source proteins, giving you even more choice when it comes to finding the right food for your dog.

We can’t announce too much just yet, but Prime have already said they’re working on a new brand, which will be bringing back some of those much-loved fruity flavours! 🍓🍐🍎

We’re as excited as you are, but unfortunately we can’t say any more just yet! 🤫

So hold with us and hold tight — we’ll bring you more information as soon as we can. ❤️

In the meantime, Prime isn’t going anywhere. We’ll continue to stock the range they’re currently working with as a budget-friendly option, whilst also expanding our range to give you more choice — including chicken-free options.

🚨‼️ A little bit of news about Prime Raw ‼️🚨

We’ve had some disappointing news from Prime Raw, who are one of our biggest-selling brands here at The Raw Plaice! 🫣

Prime Raw have made the decision to significantly reduce their range, going from 30+ flavours down to around 10–12 options. Unfortunately, as part of this change, all of the remaining flavours will now contain chicken. 🐔

For many of you, Prime Raw has been a firm favourite — including some of their more unusual flavours such as mango, strawberry, butternut squash and sweet potato — so we completely understand that this will be disappointing news, especially for those whose dogs have a chicken allergy or simply need a single-protein diet. 😔

But don’t panic! ❤️

We’re already looking at alternative single-source protein chubs and are currently in talks with another supplier about bringing a range in to run alongside Prime Raw.

The really important bit is that we intend to keep these alternatives at the same price, so those of you who need a chicken-free option won’t be penalised for it.

We’re working hard behind the scenes to get this sorted and will keep you all updated as soon as we have more information.

As always, thank you for your continued support of our little shop. We know how important it is to have the right food for your dogs, and we’ll always do our best to make sure you have options. 🐾❤️
