Happy world donkey to all our clients who own and love these amazing animals.
This day is to honor donkeys and raise awareness about their importance and welfare.
Donkeys bond deeply with humans, showing loyalty and companionship. They never forget a friendly face and can even recognise humans they haven’t seen for many years.
Sophia (and Hippo the dog) love attending to Donkeys, Sophia has a keen interest so if your booking your donkey in for an appointment please do ask for her.

Some feel good feedback from one of our clients who has just had their first foal - Welcome to the world Winston. I think you will all agree he is a gorgeous boy 😍

'Michelle, Alex and all the team at Bearl who have expertly guided us (and put up with the panicking first timer nerves on phone calls!) to aid in the safe conception, pregnancy care and arrival of our new little c**t Winston. Born on Wednesday mid morning with a little assistance from us as he was a big foal for a maiden and she did go until 355 days!!! Mother and baby enjoying the sunshine today!!'

It is all system go (literally!!!) as tomorrow we are having new computers and and a new practice management system installed, this won't cause any disruption for our vets attending visits but you may get notice for visits from our vet phones which may come up as unknown numbers.
There may be some diverts on the phone lines to our emergency line who will forward calls to the admin team to respond.

We apologise for any inconvenience during this time but please be patient while we navigate our way through the new system.

Due to recent outbreaks of Equine influenza, we are advising clients to be vigilant, and ensure vaccinations are up to date.

Equine influenza (or equine flu) is a highly contagious viral respiratory disease that spreads quickly between horses.

While it’s rarely fatal, it can seriously affect your horse’s health, comfort and performance and outbreaks still happen every year in the UK.
