๐ Hot Weather Reminder ๐
With the warmer temperatures this week, weโd just like to share a few tips to help keep your dogs comfortable and safe.
Weโre fully air-conditioned and always have fresh water available, but please make sure your dog has had a good drink before arriving for their appointment.
Thereโs no need for a long walk beforehand โ even if it doesnโt feel too hot to us, the ground and air temperature can still be uncomfortable for our four-legged friends. A quick toilet break before leaving home is perfect. Where possible, please avoid walking your dog to us and bring them in a cool, air-conditioned vehicle instead.
At home, simple things can help dogs stay comfortable in the heat, such as:
๐ง Plenty of fresh water
๐ง Frozen treats or licky ice treats
๐ฌ๏ธ Fans and cool airflow
๐๏ธ Cool mats or damp towels to lie on
๐ณ Access to shade and cooler areas
Dogs can find it much harder to regulate their body temperature than we do, so a little extra care during hot weather goes a long way.
