The Lodge Boarding Kennels & Cattery is currently owned by Yvonne Watson MRCVS, BVMS. Yvonne is a retired veterinary surgeon and the previous owner of Marple Veterinary Centre. Yvonne and her partner, David, live onsite at the Lodge with their own collection of pets. All our staff are long serving, fully experienced and dedicated animal lovers who

will treat your pet as if it were their own. We are:
Fully licensed by the local authority
Used and approved by Stockport RSPCA
Fully insured with Petplan 5* cover

Viewing our facilities:
We will gladly let you see round our kennels or cattery during our working day. We have found by experience that it is easier if we have time to answer your questions so, if possible, we prefer viewing between these times:
Monday to Saturday: 11am - 2pm
Sorry, no viewings on Sundays or Bank Holidays. Daily Rate (All prices inclusive of VAT at 20%):
DOGS: Single occupancy: £28.00
Double occupancy: £56.00
CATS: Single occupancy: £15.00
Double occupancy: £30.00
Cash, cheque or bank transfer only please. For more information or to book please call us on 0161 427 7858. As our staff are busy looking after your pets, they can't always reach the phone on time to answer! Medical History


To help us provide the very best care, we kindly ask that we are provided with your pet’s full and accurate medical history before their stay.

This is a requirement of boarding with us, and it helps us ensure every pet in our care stays safe, comfortable, and well looked after.

We are very happy to welcome pets with a wide range of medical conditions, and having a medical history or ongoing condition will not automatically prevent your pet from staying with us. Each pet is assessed individually, and we will always discuss any concerns with you.

To support us in caring for your pet, it is essential that we are made aware of all relevant medical history in full prior to arrival. This includes any previous or ongoing medical conditions, illnesses, injuries, hospitalisations, surgeries, allergies, medications, or other health concerns - even if your pet is currently well and the condition is not actively being treated.

🐾 If your pet has been seen by a veterinary practice for an illness or injury within the last 12 months, or since their last stay with us, we must be provided with a copy of their full veterinary history before their stay.

This information is very important as it allows our team to understand your pet’s individual needs, recognise early signs that something may not be right, respond quickly and appropriately in an emergency, and ensure we can tailor their care as safely and effectively as possible.

Please be reassured that sharing medical information will not automatically affect your booking. We are an experienced and caring team, and we regularly look after pets with a variety of medical needs.

Providing full medical disclosure and supplying veterinary records where required is a mandatory condition of boarding with us.
