Hello! I’m your local petsitter for cats and small animals, based in Hazel Grove and surrounding areas.

You can book 1, 2 or 3 visits a day at £10 per visit for me to come and take care of your furry family members.

I still have some slots available around the August Bank Holiday weekend! But they are going rapidly so book now to avoid disappointment.

If you’ve booked a holiday after August you’ll need to get your pet care organised as things are getting very busy in the petsitting world! If you are going away in the school holidays in October you’ll also need to book now as school holidays are often fully booked months in advance.

I also have very limited few slots for Christmas, including Christmas Day 2026 and New Years Day 2027! I only take a few bookings around the holidays, and only work the mornings on those days, as I have my children in the afternoons on those days.

If you’re planning on going away I will pop in and keep food and water topped up and have some snuggles with your furry friends! I have a record 11 cats myself as I’m a completely failed cat fosterer, so your pets are in great hands!

2027 books are open so if you’ve booked a holiday next year, please get in touch to get booked in.

The best way to contact me is via the WhatsApp button on my page.

Are you looking for a pet sitter or house sitter to visit while you are on holidays? There are only 2 spaces left now at the end of August 2026, and if you have booked a holiday from September onwards, and even in 2027, book now as I get very busy a long time before anyone goes on holidays.

Christmas and New year 2026/27 has some slots available for bookings but these go very quickly as they are understandably very limited. Different rates and hours of work apply for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Don’t hesitate to ask me for the rates and working hours. Different hours also apply on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, at only a slightly higher than usual rate. If you are thinking of going away over Christmas or New Year you do really need to book in now in order to avoid disappointed, and not every pet sitter works those days, if they do they are very limited.

Also you don’t need to have pets to obtain services! I also do a special house visit offer aswell. If you’re nervous about your house when you go away, and can’t get someone to come and pop in for peace of mind, then you could consider getting house visits. It’s £15 a day, and that includes one morning visit and one afternoon/evening visit. The aim is to make the house look like it’s currently being lived in, in order to scare off opportunists, to keep an eye on power cuts and outages that could end up with your freezer defrosting, and any other household emergencies. It also includes picking up your post/parcels and putting them inside the house, taking bins out and back in, opening and closing curtains, turning on/off lights, and watering any plants in the house.

I can also look after your small pets such as hamsters, mice, fish, guinea pigs and rabbits. My main business is cat sitting, but I know sometimes it’s worrying trying to find the right care for your small animal.

You can also book up to 3 visits a day for your cats/pets, or book once every other day or even once every 3 days for smaller animals if you wish. I will always try my absolute best to accommodate people.

Don’t waste time, if you’ve booked a holiday, book your pet care, or house visits for peace of mind, let me worry about everything at home while you just enjoy yourselves!

Pic for attention, one of my recent “client”, still a smallish kitten, who was very cuddly, super playful, and a very happy cat! 😻

ONLY A FEW AVAILABLE DATES LEFT UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER 2026 for cat sitting or other small pets!

If you’re reading this, this is a reminder to book your pet care when you go on the holiday you’ve booked! I’m already taking bookings on for the summer holidays 2027, and other school holidays between now and then so if you haven’t booked in yet, press the WhatsApp button on my page and drop me a message! Booking in is a really quick and easy process, all done from your armchair! There is a £10 booking fee (deductible from your final bill) for new customers, and I can book you in quickly, then I will contact you a few weeks before the booking starts to check dates and times and arrange to come and meet you and your pet and to collect your keys. Easy peasy!

We also have some limited slots around Christmas Day and New Year’s Day 2026 - Christmas rates are differently priced. Normal standard visits cost £10 per visit, over Christmas I charge £25 for a standard visit on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. On these particular days I only carry out one visit per pet.

Have a think about how many visits a day your cat would need to stay healthy and happy while you are away - I have clients who want me to go once every two days with automatic feeders etc, to 3 visits per day and anything in between. Most commonly it is 1 or 2 visits a day.

Please WhatsApp me to ask anything!

Here’s a pic of a very Happy Cat!

Hello sunny England! Just to let you know there are only a few slots left available over the rest of June, July and August! And they are going very fast, a lot faster than I anticipated.

So if you need to get a pet sitter while you’re away on holiday, or maybe you are working long hours and want someone to just pop in and feed and water and cuddle with your pet, I will hopefully be able to help you.

I do not dog sit or walk dogs unfortunately, but I do do “dog pop-ins”, which is very similar to the standard cat visits, minus walks. For anyone who has an emergency and has to go somewhere suddenly, or if you’re out and have decided to stay out longer, or you’re working around the clock for a project, I can pop in, feed and water your dog, let them out, and give them cuddles and play games if that’s what they like to do.

Cat pet visits are much the same, I go in, make a fuss of your furry friends, feed and water them, clean up any of their mess/litter trays etc, then have some cuddle time and play time, again, if that’s what they like.

Each visit is £10 for cats and £12 for dogs.

To make your booking live you will need to answer a short questionnaire and pay a £10 booking fee. That’s it, you’ll be all booked in from then, and I will arrange a day to come and meet you and your pets before the visits begin.

But if you have booked holidays in advance, you need to get your pet care sorted as soon as possible as a lot of bookings are last minute bookings - I could be free on the 1st - 5th of September if you booked NOW, just for example, but a week to 2 weeks beforehand I will get last minute bookings in and won’t have any spaces left.

Book now for peace of mind!

Cats in Extreme Temperatures.

I don’t know about you, but I am not made for heat! I get overheated very quickly and it can make me really feel quite ill. Give me a hot chocolate with a blanket on and a book any day! 😉

My little collection of cats and my little dog have REALLY been suffering in this heat. You need to be extra aware of cats to ensure they don’t get heatstroke - dogs also can get heatstroke but they pant to cool themselves down and give more warning signs, whereas cats generally don’t pant - if they’re panting, they are already too hot!

I just wanted to share a few little bits that will make your cat’s life (and dogs also) a bit easier in these high temperatures, things I already have for my cats, and some tips to keep them cool.

Do all the usual things - close the curtains, don’t open windows or doors until late afternoon or evening, or first thing in the morning. Put fans on, air conditioning units, and if it’s colder outside than inside, throw all the windows and doors open to create a breeze in the house.

Cats should stay indoors during the hottest part of the day (especially if you or your neighbours have Astro turf, as it gets a lot hotter than normal grass due to the fact that it doesn’t contain water, like real grass does), so should only really go out in the morning or evening.

Also you would ideally want a cooling shelter for them outside and lots of fresh water. There is a couple of Amazon products attached called “cooling houses” for inside and outside, and ice packs to put in them. You could also create a shade and put normal ice packs into a towel and lay it down where the cat normally lays.

I also think the first aid gel cooling mats are great to lie down on, just put something between the cat and the pad.

There are now not just cooling gel pads but cooling fabric pads, they don’t feel cool to the touch but the idea is that if they lay on it, it wicks away the heat from their body, cooling them down.

Buy an ice cube tray with big spaces for larger ice cubes and regularly pop them in their water. Also change the water frequently - I love a fresh, cold, sparkling water in this heat and it cools me down a lot, but after about an hour in the heat I go to drink some more and it’s warm I just can’t drink it, so I get a replacement. So please treat your animals the same and make sure you are replacing their water with cool water often.

To get more fluids into them, give them pouches of wet food and add some water into it and mix. You can also freeze chunks of their wet food and leave it in a bowl for them to lick at.

If your pet is looking unwell, panting heavily, very lethargic, drooling, heart rate speeding up, these could be a sign of the start of heatstroke and I cannot say this enough - it can be fatal, especially in smaller animals. Do not wait to see a vet, but if you’re only just noticing one or 2 mild symptoms just starting, you can try and bring it down quickly yourself, but if that doesn’t work fast, take them to the vet’s. They may need cooling down via IV fluids, and maybe some electrolytes.

If your cat loves the water, you can buy little folding dog pools on Amazon to put them in, or run a tepid bath. Do NOT use cold water on them as this can lead to shock. If they don’t like water, rub them gently with a cold wet towel, not drenched but wet enough to get through to their skin. You can even wet and cool face clothed or small thin wet towels and just lay them on top of them, just remember to keep refreshing them with cool water so it doesn’t dry out and make them water.

If this fails to make them feel any better then it’s really important to get your pet to the vets as soon as it is possible.

It’s so hard to keep cats cool in the summer because obviously they can equate that drinking water will help them. You could also try a little bowl of cat milk to help with rehydration.

I’ll attach pics of some of the products I use - they are all from Amazon, except the one from pawfect4pets site. Amazon, and other pet stores, have many similar items. These can be life saving for your cat and you’ll be able to use them year after year. It might be coming to the end of this particular little heatwave but it’s apparently going to be back in around 10 days so get some of these to help your fur babies keep as cool as you can!

Happy Cats Pet Sitting dates still available for summer holidays 2026!

This is a sign to book your family pet in for visits in your own home whilst you are away on holiday. All cats and small pets are welcome! Doggy/puppy pop ins are available for owners who may be out for longer days during the summer (I do not offer dog walking).

There are slots still available for most of July and August although some days are fully booked and others are very close to being fully booked. Also the diary for 2027 is open now - and yes, I do already have bookings for next year!

Also, my books are open for Christmas Day, Boxing Day 2026 and New Years Day 2027! There aren’t many spots available so you need to get your booking in fast - please note that not all petsitters operate over Christmas and New Year.

I do have regular clients booking in throughout the year so availability is going rapidly, especially during school holidays!

Why should I use a pet sitter?

Peace of mind for you when you are away from home, signs of life going in and out of your home is a deterrent. Cats and smaller pets are much happier and less stressed when they are kept in the comfort of their own home, with all the sounds, smells, toys, comfort and food they are used to. I’ve never had a pet that has been anything other than relaxed and happy at the end of a booking - I treat your pets the same way I treat my own, which is like family. Mine ARE my babies despite having human ones too! I have 11 cats and a small dog of my own and have a lot of experience with cats.

To best contact me, please visit my page and send a text message via the WhatsApp button.

If you are going away anytime in 2026, this is the sign to remember to book your pet sitter! In fact, if you’ve booked your holiday for 2027, now is also the time to book your pet sitter as my diary for 2027 is now open.

Read further down for some further info you might need, and check out my page for pinned posts and use the WhatsApp button to contact me!

School holidays are already well booked and I only have a few slots available now for the summer holidays.

If you want someone who is obsessed with cats and all things feline, who will take care of your cats (and other small pets) as if they are my own, and you want your fur babies to be relaxed and comfortable in their own homes while you’re away, then a pet sitter might be for you.

Standard visits for cats and small pets are £10 per visit. There is no strict time allotted per visits, although one hour slots for an extra fee can be booked, where I will obviously stay for the whole hour - but it basically depends on the needs of the pets. But a standard visit can be an average of 15-20 minutes, I have stayed longer if needed and I’m able to, and I’ve also been quicker as the kitty is off outside on adventures and I only need to change food and water and clear up litter trays etc. But I really just stay as long or short as the cats want and need me to. So rest assured that what your cat needs, your cat gets, this is totally bespoke for them.

I also do doggy pop ins (I don’t dog walk I’m afraid), which is aimed towards dog owners who may have to work late, or who have not long got the dog or puppy and want them to have someone to come in while they’re at work, or if you plan on being out all day and then all evening too. Standard visits are £12 per visit, but you can also choose to book an hour visit for £20.

Please note - Bank Holidays are weekend hours (10am - 4pm) and are charged at double time. Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day are limited to only one visit per day and a set fee of £25 per day.

There is a non refundable £10 booking fee, but should your booking go ahead it will be taken off your bill. Payments are to be made in advance, before the first visit, by bank transfer, or cash can be left for the first visit.

I also do emergency longer term bookings, such as someone who lives alone and has to go into hospital for a time, for example. No one wants to be worrying about their beloved pets at home when they’re feeling poorly!

Picture for attention! One of my lovely clients whose owners have just been away to somewhere gorgeous, looking happy and licking his lips after his breakfast. He is definitely one very Happy Cat! 😻

Looking for pet care for your cats or small pets when you go on holiday this year? Have a look at some information you need to know before you book your pet sitter!

🐾 SMALL AMOUNT OF SLOTS LEFT OVER EASTER WEEKEND! 🐾

Not wanting to put your kitties in catteries where they won’t get the 1 to 1 treatment you want, and they’re in a very small and new, noisy, scary environment, doesn’t leave a lot of other choices.

However, pet sitting is a really good choice if you want to go away and have peace of mind that someone is coming into your house and giving your kitty lots of cuddles and strokes, and they are in their normal comfy environment, with all their favourite things around them and their favourite foods and treats, and the bonus is that your house looks occupied, which is a good opportunist thief deterrent in itself, picking up your post so it’s not building up and making your house look empty, and taking your wheelie bins in and out! If you have a power cut I will make sure your fridge and freezer aren’t defrosting everywhere and if they ARE I can arrange to let any tradespeople into the house to fix things.

Here are some other things I do while you’re away enjoying yourself, to help you make an informed decision over how your pets will be looked after:

Plants watered, and everything will be exactly as you left it, any rubbish will be disposed of in a bin liner and put in your black bin so no coming home to a smelly kitchen that’s been standing for 2 weeks with cat food pouches sitting in the bin, and if you’re running low on pet food and supplies etc I will let you know to order some in, although I do always carry emergency packs. No one goes hungry on my watch! I also bring my own bags and disposable cleaning cloths to wash bowls or clean up any accidents. You just provide the food and water and a key, it’s that easy!

I can visit 1-3 times a day. And if you become a regular client of mine I also have a key safe in my home where I can keep hold of your spare key for future emergencies or future bookings. They have no identifying names/addresses on them as I use a number system that makes it virtually impossible for anyone else to work out where the key belongs.

If you want someone who is literally a crazy cat lady and absolutely loves cats (and dogs and smaller animals!), look no further! I love getting regular clients as I do fall in love with the animals, and I love going back to see them again!

I’m 51, live in Hazel Grove behind The Fiveways and have 11 cats and 1 dog (hence the crazy cat lady title!). At one point I had 17 cats at once, which was a bit chaotic, but I have lots of experience with all different kinds of kitties, including disabled kitties and ones that can be a little more difficult than others.

I also do Doggy Pop-ins! I don’t usually dog sit as I personally believe a dog needs more company than a petsitting company can provide if you are away for a while, and I also don’t walk dogs, but I do take on Pop-ins! One client likes to occasionally spend the whole day and maybe evening out and doesn’t want to leave his dog sitting alone for all that time. Some people have to stay behind work later than normal. Some people get puppies and worry about leaving them alone all day while they’re at work, especially for the first couple of weeks. I can go in, let them out to toilet, feed and water them, give them treats, and some lovely cuddles and playing some games! There are 2 types of visits, the standard visit which is a true pop-in and is around 15-20 minutes - this costs £12 per visit, but I also do an hour visit as well which is £20 per visit.

I’m DBS cleared and fully insured, I can either show you them on our meet and greet appointment, or I can photo them and WhatsApp them to you.

Invoices are to be paid before the booking starts.

Bank Holidays are charged at double time - normal visits are £10, but on Bank Holidays they are £20 each. I do also offer limited visits on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day at a set fee of £25 and only one visit on those days.

So tick another thing off your pre-holiday checklist and get your pet booked in for the most chilled relaxed holiday they will have while you’re away!

All my regular customers have said how relaxed and happy their kitties are when they come home, and they all get comfortable with me very quickly (treats help! 😉). Which is why my business is called Happy Cats, because that is the goal, and is achieved, and of course it’s great that my clients get to go away and really enjoy themselves on holiday without worrying about what’s happening at home.

School holidays are filling up fast! So click on the WhatsApp button on my page and send me a list of your dates and I will see if I can fit you in! But summer holidays are filling up very fast!
