A wee warning for tonight folks 🎆🎇🎆

🎉 On Saturday 22 August at 10.45pm there will be a planned low-noise fireworks display at Stirling Castle as part of a private event. It will last around five minutes. 🎆

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The fireworks are designed to be 50% quieter than traditional displays.

We are committed to ensuring that there is as minimal noise impact as possible to local residents.

Heading away on holiday? ✈️ ☀️ Here are some top tips on how to arrange care for your cat while your away to keep your mind at ease 🧘‍♀️

😸wether you want a sitter or just someone to pop in everyday, book them as early as possible, especially in busy summer months.

😸Arrange a meet and greet so you can meet them in person and they can meet your cat.

😸Make sure your sitter knows your cats personality. Whether they love cuddles or prefer their own space. Favourite hiding spots, favourite games or toys, even any quirky habits they might have.

😸Share your cats normal routine. Feeding schedule and any medications they might need.

😸Make sure your sitter has all vet details and emergency contact incase of any emergencies.

😸Leave enough food, litter and treats for your whole trip (maybe even a litter extra to be safe!)

😸 Ask for updates! The right sitter will be more than happy to share photos and videos of your cat with you to give you peace of mind while on holiday.

❤️ Enjoy your holiday knowing your cat is being cared for in the comfort of their own home ❤️

📸 How to Capture Your Pet's Best Moments 🐾

We all have thousands of photos of our furry friends... but capturing a fast-moving dog or a playful cat using just your phone can be tricky! 🤪🐶

Here are our top 5 tips for snapping their real personality on camera:

✨ 1. Get Down on Their Level
Squat or get right down on the ground at eye-level with your pet. Whether they are snoozing or sniffing the grass, changing your perspective makes the photo feel instantly professional.

🏃‍♂️ 2. Capture the Action
Trying to snap them running along the Allan Water? Make sure you have plenty of bright daylight, focus on your pet and use Burst Mode (hold down the shutter button in most cases) to capture a rapid stream of photos so you can pick the perfect, sharp action shot later!

🦴 3. Bribe Generously (The Secret Weapon!)
Hold a high value treat or their favourite squeaky toy directly above your phone camera lens. Your pet will look straight into the camera, giving you that perfect, soul-searching eye contact.

☀️ 4. Find the Light
Natural light is your best friend for showing off the texture of their fur. Avoid using your phone's flash - it can startle them and cause an eerie "red-eye" effect.

❌ 5. Never point your phone directly towards a bright sun!
It overexposes the background and leaves your pet looking like a dark, shadowy silhouette. Keep the sun behind or to the side of you so it beautifully lights them up!
