Two good boys, one serious upgrade πΎ
Oakley and Loki's old harnesses were looking tired, so they came in to get kitted out with our new range of DOG Copenhagen harnesses. Judging by the tail wags, it's a thumbs up from both of them.
Why a harness instead of a collar? When a dog pulls on a collar, the pressure goes to the neck and throat. A Y-shaped harness spreads that pressure across the chest, which protects the windpipe and spine. That matters even more if your dog pulls, or if you're out for long walks.
Here's what you get with DOG Copenhagen:
βοΈ Ergonomic Y-shape design that keeps pressure off the neck
βοΈ Free shoulder and elbow movement for walks, runs and play
βοΈ Soft, breathable padding that won't chafe sensitive skin
βοΈ Stain- and water-resistant shell, built for Scottish weather
βοΈ Two lead points: a back D-ring for everyday walks and a front chest clip to gently discourage pulling
βοΈ Grab handle for close control in busy spots (select models, like the Comfort Walk Pro)
βοΈ 3Mβ’ reflective trim, very welcome now the clocks go back this Sunday
βοΈ Multiple adjustment points with Duraflexβ’ or aluminium hardware for a secure fit
π Save this for your next harness check:
β’ You should fit two fingers under every strap, no more and no less
β’ It should sit on the breastbone, not across the throat
β’ It shouldn't rub behind the front legs
β’ Your dog's shoulders should move freely when they walk
β’ Re-check the fit as their winter coat thickens
Does your dog walk you instead of the other way round? Or is their harness on its last legs? Send this to the dog owner in your life π
Bring your dog in and we'll help you get the right size and fit. (Stirling Store only - post if you want them at your local store!)
