ππΎ SOLAR ECLIPSE β A LITTLE REMINDER FOR OUR FURRY FRIENDS! πΎπ
Tonight, Wednesday 12th August, we will be treated to a spectacular partial solar eclipse here in the UK! ππ
While there is no need to panic, we just wanted to remind all our lovely dog owners to take a few simple precautions to keep their four-legged family members safe. β€οΈ
πΆ Please donβt encourage your dog to look directly at the sun. Dogs, just like us, can suffer serious eye damage from looking directly at the sun.
π‘ If possible, keep your dogs indoors or in a shaded area during the eclipse, particularly around the peak at approximately 7pm.
π³ If you are out walking, try to avoid stopping somewhere where your dog may be staring up at the sun, and keep them safely supervised.
π Most dogs are unlikely to take much notice of the eclipse at all, but some may find the unusual changes in daylight a little strange. If your dog seems unsettled, simply keep them comfortable and reassured.
π And remember β ordinary sunglasses are NOT safe for looking at the eclipse. If you are watching it yourself, please use proper certified eclipse glasses.
Most importantly, enjoy this amazing natural event safely! πβ¨
From all of us at Cotonclover Love affair β stay safe and give your pups an extra cuddle from us! πΎβ€οΈ
