Meet Gwen and Star — two beautiful puppies at the start of their search dog journey! 🐾

I’ve just got back from the Peak District, volunteering as the Pre-stage Training Officer for Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England and couldn’t resist having a photo with these two.

They belong to two of our search dog handlers, who are beginning to train them to become mountain rescue search dogs. It’s a privilege to support them as they take those first steps together.

Looking forward to watching these two grow and learn!

Shep and I went for an early morning walk up a hill near Braithwaite, in the Lake District, on Saturday morning. I thought I’d capture a quick bit of our training on video as we practised walking to heel. 🐾
