🎃 Halloween dangers for our pet's 🐾🎃
As we approach Halloween we will be preparing our homes ready for parties ,trick and treating etc . Here are a few reminders to keep our pet's safe this Halloween.

🍬🍭 Xylitol - is a sweetener found in a whole host of sugar free products. Cakes , chewing gum ,mints ,jelly sweets, peanut butter..
Signs of poisoning - Vomiting, Lethargy ,Collapse , Seizures and Tremors .
🍫 Chocolate - Contains Theobromine which is poisonous to dogs.
Signs of poisoning - Vomiting , Diarrhoea , Restlessness, Rapid breathing, Increased heart rate and seizures.
💀Strangers at their door - This can be very stressful for our pet's. Children dressed in scary outfits, noises and more comings and goings to the door. Keep your pets in a quiet part of the house. Turn the TV up , close curtains. Calming diffusers and dens can really help. Walk your dog earlier to avoid seeing more people on the streets.
🎃 Foreign bodies - We love to decorate our homes for Halloween. Our pet's may find these fun to play with and possibly eat.
Signs of a foreign body - Vomiting, Restlessness, Pain in abdomen, not wanting to eat ...
If you are concerned your pet has eaten any of the above Call your Veterinary practice asap . Always have your Vet's number to hand plus their Out of hours emergency number too .
