Don’t forget, depending on your horse’s individual needs, dental checks may be recommended every 6, 9 or 12 months.

Rob’s back out on the road with Hannah RVN, our nurse and one of our amazing University of Surrey students, carrying out routine dental work, including:

🦷 Routine dental rasping
🔍 Dental oroscope examinations
📋 Digital dental charting

Regular dental examinations can help identify problems early and keep your horse comfortable and performing at their best.

🎓 Did you know that we help teach the vets of the future here at Thompson House?

We’re very proud to host veterinary students from the University of Surrey, giving them valuable hands-on experience and teaching within a busy equine practice.

Here they are learning how to take equine X-rays under the close supervision of one of our assistant veterinary surgeons. 🐴🩻

It’s a privilege to support the next generation of veterinary professionals and play a part in their clinical training.

Limited Availability - £190.00

For the Dates of 14th October , 11th November, 9th December, we will be offering standing castrations to both existing and prospective clients for a limited availability offer of £190.00 inclusive of day hospitalisation and sedation.
Horses and ponies eligible must be under 3 years of age, up to date with vaccines and can be transported to the clinic on the day of castration accompanied with his passport.
*Post-operative complications/treatments /Antibiotics are not included in this offer;
* Procedures to be at clinic only.
* Deposit to be taken to secure place.
* Payment must be made in full on the day.

At Thompson House Equine Vets, we believe that keeping your horse healthy should be simple, convenient and affordable. That's why our **Zone Visit Offers** are so popular!

By grouping together routine visits in the same area, we're able to significantly reduce call-out costs, making it one of the most cost-effective ways to stay on top of your horse's preventative healthcare.

We offer the zone visits every week, on the following days:

Zone A - Tuesday
Zone B - Wednesday
Zone C - Friday
Zone D - Thursday

Perfect for:
🐴 Vaccinations
🦷 Routine dental examinations
🩺 Health checks
💉 Routine treatments and other planned preventative care

A few things to remember:
✔️ Book at least **24 hours in advance**
✔️ Payment must be made **before your appointment**
✔️ We aren't able to offer **timed appointments** as our vets follow planned routes throughout the day
✔️ We can't guarantee requests for a **specific vet**
✔️ Zone Visits are available for **routine, pre-booked appointments only** and aren't suitable for emergencies or more complex cases

A huge congratulations once again to our receptionist Bradley Beardmore and the Owner Billy Moran of The Irish Draught, Class 1, Gold Merit Mare Corkeern Willow, for their incredible success at the Royal Highland! They took home the titles of Hunter Champion Overall and Hunter Supreme, and went even further by claiming the Price Family Inhand Horse Of Year Show Golden Ticket! 🎫

Let’s also give a massive shoutout to Tom Pearson, (Bradley Friend) one of our talented clients, who showcased the foal (in the HOYS Price Family Supreme) and his stunning Fell ponies with great success winning the M&M Championship & Overall M&M Supreme with David Thompson Drybarrows Dynasty.

🎉 Congratulations, Tommy – Preceptor of the Year! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to congratulate Tommy on being awarded Preceptor of the Year by the University of Surrey Veterinary School! 🏆

A preceptor is an experienced veterinary professional who mentors and supports veterinary students during their Intramural Rotations (IMR), helping them develop the practical skills, confidence and clinical reasoning that are so important as they prepare for life in practice.

Teaching the next generation of equine vets is something we’re truly passionate about, and we’re proud to offer IMR placements for University of Surrey students here at Thompson House Equine Vets.

To make the achievement even more special, our practice was also recognised as 3rd overall for Best Equine IMR Practice – a fantastic reflection of the commitment and enthusiasm of our whole team.

Well done, Tommy, and thank you to everyone at the University of Surrey for this wonderful recognition. We look forward to welcoming many more students through our doors in the years ahead! 💚🐴
