🐾 Celebrating the lovely local businesses that make our community special 🐾

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Caroline, who runs Peaceful Canines, here in the Stamford area, and it was so lovely to chat with someone who shares such a passion for helping dogs and their owners.

Caroline specialises in helping owners who feel overwhelmed by their dog's behaviour to understand what is happening, introduce calm, practical routines and build the everyday skills that make life together feel more manageable.

As an independent, locally owned veterinary practice, I really believe in supporting other small businesses in our community. There are so many wonderful people doing thoughtful, individual work to help our pets live happier lives, and it's lovely to get to know them and find ways we can support one another.

At Welland Valley Vets, we know that looking after a dog's wellbeing is about so much more than just their physical health. Feeling safe, confident and understood matters too.

I'm looking forward to getting to know Caroline and Peaceful Canines better, and to supporting the wonderful local dog-owning community here in and around Stamford.

Fostering gives cats a safe, loving place to stay while they wait for their forever home. You don’t need to be an expert — just someone who can offer patience, kindness and a little space in your home. 🏡🐾
It can be incredibly rewarding to help a cat through a period of change and see them grow in confidence before they find their perfect family.

We couldn’t resist sharing the gorgeous Onyx with you! 🥰🐾

He popped in for a weight check with Nurse Gemma, but after receiving plenty of fuss, cuddles and attention from the team, he decided he didn’t want to leave! 😂💙 Safe to say, Onyx has already stolen a few hearts at Welland Valley Vets! 🐶🥰
