A little heart-to-heart from me… 🐾💜
This summer has honestly been one of the hardest periods I’ve experienced since starting Kiiko & Friends.
Five heatwaves in six weeks has made running a dog walking and pet care business incredibly difficult. So many last-minute changes, cancelled walks, rearranged visits and decisions that have had to be made purely around the health and safety of your pets. 🐾
And I genuinely mean this when I say…
I will NEVER EVER moan about the rain again! 😂🌧️
Give me muddy paws and soaking wet clothes any day!
For those who don’t know, Kiiko & Friends isn’t my part-time job — this is my full-time job. And my fellow small business owners will know that running your own business is a 24/7 job. It doesn’t switch off when you finish your last walk. There’s always something to organise, plan, reply to, clean, prepare or worry about!
This summer genuinely pushed me and, at times, made me wonder how much longer I could keep going. Sadly, I’ve seen some local small businesses like mine not make it through.
So I feel incredibly grateful to still be here. 🥹💜
And I’m especially grateful for YOU.
Thank you to every single client who has stuck with me, understood the cancellation policies, been so understanding with last-minute changes and trusted me to always put your pets first.
I genuinely LOVE what I do. I love every single one of your pets, and I feel so lucky that I get to spend my days caring for them. 🐶🐱🐾
Every single day, I will continue to do my absolute best to make sure their health, happiness and safety are always my number one priority.
Thank you for supporting me, trusting me and allowing me to do a job that I truly love. It means more than you probably realise. 💜
