🎩 58cm Silk Top Hat – Lincoln Bennett & Co.

Lovely vintage silk top hat in good, usable condition. An ideal starter hat, or perfect for occasions when you don’t want to wear your best.

Previously owned by ‘Georgena Pole’.

There is a slight old crease to one side and some light wear around the top edge – please see photos. Nothing too dreadful, and the condition is reflected in the price.

Size 58cm. Please see photos for measurements. This does not come in a box.

A very presentable, wearable silk top hat at a sensible price £185 plus postage.

Please message directly with any questions. Many thanks.

These much loved binoculars and case had a bit of a spa day and new lease of life this week 🥰. Jobs like this are always lovely to do. To breath new life back into something that would otherwise end up in landfill is lovely, especially when that item has such cherished memories attached.
This particular one is shortly off to the US where it will be handed on down to the next generation to some very lucky family members 🙌💪🏻

Sitting outside making use of this light to work outside.
Repairing a case for a lovely set of binoculars. It’s quite a boxed day with belts, bags and side saddle on my bench to be done.

Gosh it’s been manic these last couple of weeks that I have barely had chance to post! It’s beginning to feel a bit like Emily’s shop on Bagpuss! 🤣
Some beautiful things have come through the door - hoping they are a bit more beautiful by the time they leave 🤞🏻
The thing I love about this work is the vast variety of items that come in and thinking my way through each aspect. These are just some of the things that have come (and some have gone) this last two weeks.

KENZO THE WORKSHOP CAT 💔

REWARD FOR INFO LEADING TO SAFE RETURN

PLEASE HELP US FIND OUR MISSING GIRL ❤️

I’m desperately trying to find Kenzo, who has been missing since 1st August from Eccleshall.

She is a beautiful brown spotted girl, very identifiable, chipped and registered. She absolutely adores people and her family miss her dreadfully.

We are becoming increasingly worried that she may have been taken in somewhere, perhaps with the best of intentions, or accidentally, so I’m asking everyone to please check sheds, garages, outbuildings and anywhere she could have accidentally been shut in.

She went away for five days, which is unheard of as she is very bonded with me. She came home and was incredibly clingy for days. Quite upset, so I thought she may have been shut in somewhere. She then went again after six days of being back.

She is under a strict diet for medical reasons and cannot eat normal cat food. This is really important for her health, so if anyone has taken her in or is feeding her, please don’t feed her and please get in touch with me as soon as possible.

I am not accusing anyone of anything — I just desperately want her home and safe so looking at all possibilities ❤️

If you have seen her, know where she might be, or have any information at all, please message me. Even the smallest piece of information could help.

Please share this post locally so it reaches as many people as possible.

Thank you so much for helping me bring my girl home.

For Sale – Exceptional Antique Silk Top Hat with Remarkable Provenance

This isn’t just a beautiful silk top hat – it comes with an incredible history.

Originally made for and owned by Baron Oswald Wykeham Stanley Cornwallis (1892–1982), this is a rare opportunity to own a piece of British history.

Made by A.J. White, Hatter & Cap Maker, Jermyn Street, St James’s, London, the hat is in truly outstanding condition.

It appears virtually unworn, with the silk in exceptional, as-new condition. It also retains its original hat clips and lanyard, designed to attach the hat to a jacket and prevent it from being blown away.
Please see photos for condition and sizing.

The original hat box is included. Although it has seen better days, it has done its job perfectly in preserving the hat and forms an important part of its history. The box is addressed to “The Hon. O.W. Cornwallis, Polygon Hotel, Southampton” and bears a postal date of 5th September 1939, adding even more historical interest.
For anyone interested in military history, British aristocracy, or fine antique silk top hats, this is a truly special piece.

£249 plus postage costs. Will post abroad.
