Weve been away this week and called in to Mounts Bay Distillery to see the beautiful Boycie's girl Maia who came into our rescue over 7 years ago and was adopted and lives the most fantastic life with her wonderful family by the sea near Praa sands in Cornwall.
Mounts Bay distillery shop is open every Friday 12 until 4 where you may be able to see the gin and rum made, crafted on site in their wood fired stills, have a little tipple and treat yourself and they are often at many of the local markets with their award winning gin and rum (Please share this post and give their Facebook or Instagram account a follow to find out where) so if any of our followers are holidaying in Cornwall this year Maia says that anyone who mentions Boycie's Bridge can get a 10% discount !! Good girl Maia!!

Just 3 weeks left before these beautiful little fatty’s are ready for adoption. They’re now at the ‘causing chaos’ stage…but we let them get away with it because they are just super cute! 😂 ❤️

They will be looking for family homes with someone around a majority of the time, to ensure housetraining and socialisation are consistent.

Puppies are homed with full vaccinations (adopters required to take for 2nd vaccs at our vet’s Island Veterinary Centre - Stafford & Stone) will be microchipped and up to date with parasite treatment.

All pups will come with a strict neutering contract, which will require adopters to take them to our vets at the appropriate age for their spay.

We are not accepting applications for the puppies just yet, but keep an eye on the page for the update.

As with all Boycies dogs, in person Homecheck and adoption fee is required.

We were so lucky to find this lovely home, for not 1….but 3 Boycies dogs.

First was Daisy May the Pom, who sadly passed away. As soon as they were ready to offer another dog a home, we matched them with Leo.
Now Leo had got a few issues…not only does he suffer with alopecia, he was, at first, quite a handful!

He needed a lot of work to make him feel secure and learn to trust people, not to lash out.

Vicky and Will were just the family he needed…and as the anniversary of his 4th gotcha day is now here, it’s clear to see, they were a perfect match.

They also opened their hearts to little Boycies girl Tiger-Lilly, who has completed their family.

The lifestyle they have is just amazing, travelling in their camper in winter and on their boat in summer…the dogs love it, we couldn’t ask for better ❤️❤️

Thanks once again to Vicky and Will for giving these dogs a wonderful life full of adventure and love.

Nessie needs a home of her own now, after assessment and vet checks, we know the type of home she will be suited to, and have listed the criteria below ❤️

Nessie is a beautiful Staffy girl, 4 years old.

She is spayed and her vaccinations will be up to date when she has her second set tomorrow.

Nessie does have some skin issues if her diet isn’t kept strictly grain free, and we have been keeping her on a fish based diet too.

She is also overweight, so is on a diet and exercise routine that will need to be continued in her adoptive home.

She has no health issues other than her allergies, which are diet controlled.

Nessie needs a home who have previously had bull breeds and she would be happy to live with a calm and sensible neutered male. She is good with all dogs, but we feel she would be more comfortable living with a quieter male.

Nessie is a friendly girl who loves people, she could live with dog savvy teenagers.
She is content left alone for a few hours at a time, she is well behaved on walks and is clean in the house.

She is door reactive when there are deliveries etc…but this is something her Foster’s are working on and we will support further training for this.

Nessie loves nothing more than a nice walk, followed by a cuddle and a snooze on the settee, she’s easily pleased!

She will make a fantastic friend to whoever is lucky enough to have her…and as she loses more weight, she will thrive and enjoy life more.
