With Bonfire Night approaching, it’s important to make sure our furry friends feel safe and calm at this time of year.🎆

Bonfire Night can be frightening. Loud bangs, flashing lights and unexpected fireworks can cause stress and anxiety for our pets.

Create a stress free space for your pets:
🎆 Set up a quiet and comfortable space using their favourite bed, blankets and toys.
🎆 Drown out the noise by closing windows and curtains, put the TV or radio on to muffle out the noise.
🎆 Keep them safe indoors. Keep cats inside and make sure dog walks are done before sun set.

As the temperatures drop, our pets need a little extra care to stay warm, healthy and safe.🩵

Here are some simple ways to help your furry friends through the colder months:

❄️ Keep them warm - provide a cosy bed with blankets and away from draughts. Elderly or shorter haired pets may need a heat source to help maintain temperature.
❄️ Take care on walks - cold weather can be tough on paws. Wipe and dry your pets feet after walks and check for cracks, sores or ice in between toes.
❄️ Be visible - with the darker evenings, reflective collars, leads or coats can help keep pets visible to traffic or other walkers.
❄️ Watch out for salt and anti freeze - road salt can irritate paws and be harmful if licked. Antifreeze is extremely toxic to animals even in small amounts.

A little extra care can make a big difference.🩵

Everyone meet the lovely Trev!🐾🩵

Trev came to us to under go anaesthetic for his Dental Procedure and to check inside his ears!

Upon investigation, we found a grass seed hiding in Trev’s ear! We gently removed this under anaesthetic.

Despite this, Trev never stopped his wagging tail and loving cuddles which our team enjoyed thoroughly!🐾

We hope your teeth and ears feel more comfortable Trev! See you soon.🩵
