🌈🕊️ Goodnight, Fernando 🕊️🌈
Today our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to our beautiful Fernando. 💔🐴
There are some horses who come into your life and become so much more than a horse. They become part of your family, part of your everyday life and, without you even realising it, part of who you are. Fernando was one of those horses. ❤️
Our beautiful coloured stallion, sired by the legendary Kannan, Fernando had all the talent, presence and quality you could ever ask for. But those who knew him will remember him for so much more than his pedigree or what he could do over a fence.
We will remember him. 🖤🤍
His face over the stable door. His character. His little ways. The sound of his footsteps. The moments that seemed so ordinary at the time but suddenly feel more precious than anything. 🥺
The stable will feel quieter without him. There will always be a space where he should be, and it is impossible to put into words just how much he will be missed. 💔
Fernando gave us memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives, and we feel incredibly lucky to have loved him and to have been part of his story.
And although today feels like goodbye, a horse like Fernando never truly leaves. ✨
He lives on in every photograph, every story we tell and every memory that makes us smile through the tears. But perhaps one of the most special parts of Fernando’s legacy is the wonderful progeny he has left behind. 🐴❤️
Fernando has produced so many lovely offspring, each carrying a little piece of him forward into the future. We feel incredibly fortunate to have our own super-exciting 7-year-old stallion, Colour of Money, who makes us so proud and gives us something very special to look forward to. Seeing Fernando’s qualities continue through the next generation means more to us now than ever. 🖤🤍✨
We know there are many more Fernando sons and daughters out there, and we would absolutely love to see them. ❤️ If you have a Fernando offspring, please share your photographs, videos and stories with us. Whether they are youngsters just beginning their journey or horses already out there doing wonderful things, we would love to see the legacy our beautiful boy has left behind.
Every one of them is another little part of Fernando’s story continuing. His legacy will live on through them for many years to come, and that is something we will treasure enormously. ❤️🐴
His hoofprints are forever stamped on our hearts. 🐾❤️
We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to Jenni, Scott and Ben for everything they did to help make Fernando’s final moments as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Your kindness, care and compassion in helping to ease his passing meant more to us than words can say. ❤️
And a very special thank you to David Coombs, who played such an important part in Fernando’s story, producing him from a young horse and guiding him through the grades. The time, patience and dedication you gave him helped him become the horse we were all so incredibly proud of, and we will always be grateful for the part you played in his life. 🐴❤️
