Fred’s had a bit of fun this morning. Fred’s a GSP, they are part of the hunt-point-retrieve group of dogs. So this is what they are bred to do. It’s called quartering. Moving backwards and forwards covering the ground to find what they are looking for.
It’s fascinating what different dogs are bred for. We always have to work with what they are bred for rather than work against it. You get a much better result from the training by doing it like that 🐾🐾

Another great night at training classes. Dogs are doing well and most importantly they are enjoying themselves. Pups are getting a bit more comfortable in the surroundings and trying to push it a little bit. But that’s fine and perfectly normal. Doing it in class is good because then we can show you how to get them out of the habit.
Have a good rest of week and weekend. Don’t forget to practice in places with distractions.
See you next week šŸ¾šŸ’•

Hi. We are looking for volunteers to help with our charity events for various charities.
We don’t do many anymore, just the odd day and someone has just asked us to do a weekend one in Stafford. We do one in Rugeley that’s a fun dog show and steeplechase, a Gnosall fun dog show, this one that we have been asked to do in Stafford. We need volunteers to help us set up the rings, help run them and then help take everything down. Norman and I can’t do as much anymore, getting older šŸ™„
We also do a couple of parades and a few displays too.
If you’re interested in getting involved please let us know. It is something that you have to be committed to do. We’ve had a few people say they are interested but they haven’t been able to get involved!
They are all raising funds for various charities 🐾
