📞🐾 A little message for my clients & future clients 🐾

Just a quick heads-up to all of my lovely clients and anyone looking to get in touch with Iona’s Pet Services. ❤️

Recently, I’ve been receiving quite a few scam/spam calls through my business number. Unfortunately, some of these calls are coming from mobile numbers, which can make them look like genuine calls at first glance.

Because of this, I’m now being a little more cautious about answering calls from numbers I don’t recognise. 📱

So, if you’re a genuine client and you’ve tried calling me but I haven’t answered, please don’t think I’m ignoring you! 🥰

If I miss your call, I’d really appreciate it if you could send me a quick text message or Facebook message afterwards just to let me know who you are and what you’re calling about.

Something as simple as:

“Hi Iona, it’s [name]. I’ve just tried to call you regarding my booking.”

will let me know that it’s a genuine client call, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. 😊

I’m sorry if this means I occasionally miss a genuine call, but with the amount of scam calls I’ve been receiving recently, I’m just trying to protect myself and my small business. ❤️

🐾 A little note for new and existing clients 🐾

As a pet sitter, the safety and wellbeing of your pets, your home and myself are extremely important to me ❤️

I completely understand that not every dog or cat is confident around new people. Some pets can be nervous, anxious, territorial or simply take a little longer to warm up—and that’s absolutely okay. Every animal is different, and I’m always happy to give them the time and space they need 🐶🐱

However, I do ask that clients are completely honest with me about their pet’s behaviour before booking.

If your pet has ever:
• bitten or nipped someone
• snapped or lunged at people
• growled or shown their teeth
• displayed fearful or aggressive behaviour
• reacted negatively to strangers entering the home
• guarded food, toys, rooms or other animals
• or has any other behaviour that I should be aware of

please let me know before I agree to provide care.

This isn’t about judging your pet or turning away animals that need a little extra patience ❤️ It’s about allowing me to understand their needs properly and put the right arrangements in place so that everyone is safe and comfortable.

If your dog or cat is nervous around new people, please don’t worry—I would much rather know beforehand so that we can have a proper conversation, discuss what works best for them and make sure I’m the right person to provide their care.

During our initial meet-up, I’ll always take the time to get to know your pet, learn about their personality and routine, and discuss any specific requirements or concerns you may have.

Honesty is really important to me. The more you tell me about your pet beforehand, the better prepared I can be to give them the calm, caring and individual attention they deserve 🐾❤️

🐾 A little clarification about my pet sitting service 🐾

Just a quick note for any new clients who may be wondering about the type of pet sitting I offer. 😊

I do not offer boarding services at my own home. Instead, I provide pet sitting in your home, allowing your pets to stay in their own familiar surroundings while you’re away. 🏡🐶🐱

I personally feel that this can be a lovely option for pets, as they can continue with their usual routines, sleep in their own beds, enjoy their own space and have the comfort of being in an environment they already know. ❤️

While you’re away, I can provide the care and companionship they need in their own home, including things such as:

🐾 Feeding & fresh water
🐾 Walks and exercise
🐾 Playtime & companionship
🐾 Medication, where required
🐾 Litter tray/enclosure cleaning
🐾 General care and attention
🐾 Overnight stays, if booked

My aim is to make things as comfortable, familiar and stress-free as possible for your pets, while also giving you peace of mind that they’re being cared for in their own home. 🥰

If you’re looking for boarding where your pet stays at the sitter’s home, unfortunately that’s not a service I currently provide.

However, if you’re looking for someone to come to your home and care for your pets while you’re away, I’d be more than happy to have a chat! 🐾❤️

I’ll be away from 28th–31st August, and I’m already booked on 5th September.

From 6th September onwards, my diary is opening up again and I’ll have availability for dog walking and cat sitting around Stafford and the surrounding areas. 🐶🐱

🐾 Something a little bit special I’m adding to Iona’s Pet Services… 📸❤️

I’ve always had two big loves in life — animals and photography — so I thought, why not bring the two together?

I’m really excited to introduce Pet Photography as a new service alongside my dog walking, cat sitting and overnight stays. 🐶🐱📸

This is something that has become quite personal to me.

My own dog (the white Bichon Frise pictured below) sadly passed away in December, and one of the things I find myself doing most is looking back through the photographs I have of him. The little moments, his expressions, the silly faces, the adventures and all those memories that I’m so grateful I captured. ❤️

It made me realise just how special photographs of our pets really are.

They give us something tangible to look back on and treasure long after that moment has passed.

So I’d love to do the same for you and your pets — capturing their personalities, their little quirks and the moments that make them so special, so that you can treasure those memories for as long as they’re with you, and for all the years afterwards. 🐾❤️

Whether your pet is full of energy, a little camera shy, loves a good pose, or simply enjoys a nice walk and a bit of attention, I want the photos to feel natural and capture them just as they are.

🐾 Pet Sitting – A Few Important Things to Know 🐾

I just wanted to share a few important details about my pet-sitting service so that everything is clear and straightforward when booking with me. 😊

🏡 Time Away From the Home

As part of my pet-sitting service, I may need to leave the client’s home for up to 4 hours at a time. This is a standard part of my pet-sitting arrangements and is something clients agree to as part of the service.

I will always take your pet’s individual needs into consideration, so please let me know during our initial meet-up if your pet has any specific requirements, separation anxiety, medication needs, or anything else I should be aware of. 🐶🐱❤️

🔑 Key Collection

Please ensure that a key is handed over to me during the initial meet-up visit, or alternatively left somewhere safe for me to collect before the pet-sitting visit begins.

💷 Payment Options

I offer the following payment options:

• Payment in full before the visits commence
• ½ paid before and ½ paid after the visits
• I’m also happy to discuss alternative payment arrangements if necessary.

🤝 Meet-Up Visits

Your first meet-up visit is completely free and takes place before your booking.

This gives us the opportunity to meet, go through your pet’s routine, discuss any important information and make sure you feel completely comfortable leaving your pets in my care. 🐾

If you require an additional meet-up visit, this will be charged at £5 per visit.

My aim is always to make the whole process as easy, transparent and stress-free as possible for both you and your pets. ❤️

🐶🐱🙋🏼‍♀️ A little bit about me 🙋🏼‍♀️🐱🐶

Hi everyone! 👋 I thought it was about time I introduced myself properly and add a face to the name, especially for anyone who’s new to my page!

I’ve been a pet sitter and dog walker for the last four years, and honestly, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. 🐱🐶 I’ve always had a huge love for animals, and I really enjoy getting to know each pet’s individual personality and making sure they feel happy, safe and cared for while their owners are away.

For me, looking after someone’s pet is about much more than simply feeding them or taking them for a walk. I treat every animal as if they were my own, and building that trust with both pets and their owners is something that means a lot to me ❤️ I’ve grown up with animals my whole life too, which is a bonus!

A little bit about me outside of work… I’m a none smoker 🚭, a big fan of video games 🎮, an active and lover of exercising, and anything that helps me switch off and recharge. I especially love going for walks and hikes and enjoying some time outdoors 🌿🥾

I’m also a vegetarian 🌱 — something I chose partly because of how strongly I feel about animals. Giving up meat and seafood was a personal choice that felt right for me, and it’s another little reflection of just how much animals mean to me.

So, whether your home has a playful pup, a shy cat, or a little character with a personality all of their own, I’m always happy to get to know them and give them the care and attention they deserve 🐾
