Last week Kathryn reluctantly hung up her boots to start her maternity leave. She will be missed by us and clients alike and assures us she will be back sooner than we think (she has already been on the phone multiple times ๐Ÿ™ˆ).
She would like to thank everyone who contributed towards her lovely gifts and to the clients, some of whom even had hand made items for her eagerly anticipated new arrival โ™ฅ๏ธ. Now for some well earned rest before the sleepless nights really begin!

As the weather warms up and plants start to bloom, some
horses can develop seasonal allergies. Itโ€™s a good idea to keep
an eye out for common signs such as:
โ€ข Watery or irritated eyes
โ€ข Coughing
โ€ข Nasal discharge
โ€ข Increased sneezing
While mild symptoms can be common at this time of year,
these signs shouldnโ€™t be ignored. Early advice and treatment
can help keep your horse comfortable throughout the season.
If you notice any of these symptoms, our team is here to help
and advise.

The festive season is nearly here! ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿคถ

Batman and Winston would like to remind you all to order medication ASAP if you think you will need these over the Christmas and New Year period!

Remember our last delivery will be Christmas Eve so orders in by Friday the 19th of December to avoid any delays!

Written prescriptions are also likely to be delayed by your pharmacy so please remember this and contact us if you need any medication to tide you over (pardon the pun)!

I think it would be fair to say that Winston did not particularly enjoy his run this morning ๐Ÿ™ˆ!
We hope you don't get too wet tending to your horses this morning and get back in the warm and dry ASAP!
Please remember that although the snow may be non-existent where you are, some areas have a good covering and the roads can be slow going, please try to be patient if you are waiting for a visit today and apologies in advance if we are a little late! ๐ŸŒจโ„๏ธโ˜ƒ๏ธ

We are hiring! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Equine Veterinary Coordinator position available.

Durham Equine is a busy ambulatory veterinary practice based on the outskirts of Spennymoor. Due to one of our long standing team members moving on to pastures new, we have a rare vacancy for an Equine Veterinary Coordinator to join our small, friendly team working in our busy office.

You will be the first point of contact for our clients, taking appointments and managing the vetโ€™s diaries. You will assist your team members with administrative duties which will include invoicing, taking payments, updating client records, and managing client accounts. There may be some cleaning involved as well as helping to maintain and organise veterinary equipment.

If you are a reliable, enthusiastic individual, with a great phone manner and organisational skills, this may be the position for you!

You must have previous customer service experience, be proficient on a computer and be able to work under pressure.

This is a part-time position, hours to be discussed for right individual.

To apply for this position, please email your C.V. and covering letter to our Practice Manager, Katrina Rawe at [email protected].
We look forward to welcoming the right person into our team! ๐Ÿ™‚
