Dear Cooper’s Crèche Family
🐾 14 YEARS IN THE MAKING 🐾
Today marks 14 years since the little business that eventually became Cooper’s Crèche began. 🖤🤍
Back then it was just me, my 8-year-old daughter and Frank.
Frank was the dog behind those very early days. He was there when it all began, long before Cooper’s Crèche existed. We sadly lost him last year, but he will always be part of our story and the foundations of everything we have today. 🌈🐾
Seven years ago I met Jay, things started to grow pretty quickly, and eventually we took the huge leap into our own premises.
And Cooper’s Crèche was born — named after our Bedlington Cooper, whose little curly silhouette became the logo you all know today, with Paige right there alongside him.
Fast-forward to now and that 8-year-old little girl is 22 and can still occasionally be found helping out in the crèche. And I’ve gone from being out walking dogs every day to working virtually behind the scenes from home, while looking after our 2-year-old son.
That’s only possible because of our amazing team of six, who keep everything running and care for our dogs every single day. We genuinely couldn’t do it without them. 🥰
It certainly hasn’t always been an easy road. There have been bumps and struggles along the way, and probably more tears and anxiety than anyone ever sees behind the scenes.
But through all of it, we’ve had an incredibly strong client base standing beside us.
Some of those very first clients from the foundation days are now very firmly friends 🥰🐾. And at the times when things have been difficult, the people who know us, know how we work and know the truth of what we do, have supported us and stood beside us. That loyalty has helped us become the business we are today, and we’ll never take it for granted.
At the end of the day, we’re still just a little family business doing our very best, working around our family to provide the kind of service we would want for our own dogs.
Because underneath everything else — the business, the crèche, the vans, the team and the last 14 years — the dogs have always been at the heart of it. 🐾🖤🤍
So thank you to everyone who walked with us in those early days, everyone who has walked through our doors since, our wonderful team, and everyone who continues to trust and support us today.
Happy 14 years to the little business that started with me, my 8-year-old daughter and a very special dog called Frank… and grew into Cooper’s Crèche. 🖤🤍🐾
