🍂 OCTOBER PET DANGERS 🐾
Keep your pets safe this autumn!

October brings cosy walks and seasonal treats, but it also brings some hidden dangers for our pets.

⚠️ Chocolate – can be toxic, even in small amounts.
🍄 Wild mushrooms – some can cause serious poisoning.
🌿 Toxic plants & seeds – autumn plants can be harmful to pets.
🕷️ Ticks & fleas – don’t forget parasite protection as the weather cools.
🚗 Antifreeze – sweet-tasting but extremely poisonous to cats and dogs.
🍂 Fallen leaves & garden hazards – keep an eye on what your pet is sniffing and eating outdoors.

❤️ A little awareness can go a long way in keeping your pets safe!

As part of our ongoing learning and training within the veterinary practice, we are offering **free blood pressure checks for cats aged 8 years and over**.

This is a great opportunity to have your cat’s blood pressure checked at **no cost**, while helping our veterinary team develop their skills and knowledge.

Important notice. Due to work load and some staff changes we are currently not registering new clients. We will be still taking new pets and clients that moved to the area recently but we are currently unable to register clients that already have vets in the area. Thank you for understanding

We still have large numbers of patients with grass seeds in paws and ears. Please be mindful during walks.

Grass seeds can cause painful problems if they become lodged in your pet's paws, ears, eyes, nose or skin.

After every walk or outdoor adventure, take a minute to check your pets—especially dogs, but don't forget adventurous cats too! 🐶🐱

⚠️ Watch for: limping, excessive licking, head shaking, sneezing, swollen areas or squinting.

If you think your pet has a grass seed, please contact us as soon as possible. Early treatment can prevent more serious complications. 💚
