The wait is over — Nose & Whisker is officially open! 🐶🐱

🐾 A Little Story of Hope… 🐾

Sometimes, the tiniest paws need a little extra helping hand. ❤️

We recently took in a little group of abandoned kittens, who arrived needing warmth, care, and plenty of love. They were far too small to be left to fend for themselves, so our team stepped in to give them the chance they deserve.

From tiny feeds and cosy blankets to lots of gentle cuddles, these little ones are now being cared for around the clock. 🍼🐱

They may have had a difficult start to life, but they certainly haven’t let it stop them! Their little personalities are beginning to shine through, and watching them grow stronger each day is incredibly rewarding.

For now, their days consist of eating, sleeping, cuddling and causing just enough mischief to keep us on our toes! 😂❤️

We’ll continue to give them everything they need until they are big, strong and ready for the next chapter of their lives.

A huge thank you to everyone who helps support us in caring for vulnerable animals like these. Every little bit of care makes a huge difference. 🐾

We understand that visiting the vets can sometimes be stressful, and we appreciate that emotions can run high when you are worried about your beloved pets.

Our team will always do their best to listen, help, and work with you to find a solution wherever possible. We are a small, dedicated team and genuinely care about providing the best possible care for both our patients and their owners.

However, abuse, shouting, intimidation, or aggressive behaviour towards our staff will not be tolerated.

We are always happy to have a calm and respectful conversation, even when there is a disagreement. If a member of our team feels they are being subjected to unacceptable behaviour, we may ask the conversation to end or the client to leave the premises and reserves the right to professionally terminate the client relationship.

We kindly ask that you treat our team with the same respect and courtesy that we show to you. ❤️

Just a reminder that Holbeach & Fleet Veterinary Clinic will be closed today, Monday 31st August, for the Bank Holiday.

We will reopen as normal tomorrow.

🌡️ IMPORTANT NOTICE – EARLY CLOSURE TODAY 🐾

Due to the high temperatures, we have made the decision to close the practice at 5pm today instead of our usual 6pm.

This is to help protect both our patients and our team from the heat, particularly when animals are being brought in and out of the practice. 🐶🐱☀️

Please avoid travelling with your pets during the hottest part of the day where possible, and never leave your pet unattended in a vehicle.

Thank you for your understanding while we put the welfare of our patients and staff first. ❤️🐾

We will return to our usual opening hours tomorrow.

🌞🐾 Heatwave Warning for Pet Owners 🐾🌞

With temperatures set to soar over the coming days, we’re already seeing pets struggling with the heat.

Please remember:

🐶 Walk dogs early in the morning or late in the evening.
🌳 Always provide access to shade and fresh water.
🚗 Never leave pets in cars, even for a few minutes.
🐾 Check pavements with the back of your hand – if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws.
🐰 Keep rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets cool with frozen water bottles wrapped in towels and plenty of shade.

Signs of heatstroke include excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, collapse, or difficulty breathing. Heatstroke is a medical emergency and can become life-threatening very quickly.

If you’re concerned about your pet, please contact the practice immediately.

A big well done to handsome Milo, who recently visited us for TPLO surgery with our Orthopaedic Surgeon. 🦴💙

TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy) is a specialised procedure used to treat cruciate ligament injuries in dogs, helping to restore stability to the knee joint and get them back to enjoying their favourite activities.

Milo was an absolute superstar throughout his surgery and recovery with us, and we're delighted to see him doing so well. 🌟

Now comes the important part – plenty of rest, controlled exercise, and lots of love at home while he continues his recovery journey. 🐕❤️

We wish Milo a smooth recovery and can't wait to see him back for his follow-up visits!
