Please avoid walking your dogs to the salon where possible, especially our older pups, short-nosed breeds and anyone who struggles in the heat. We don’t want anyone getting overheated before they even arrive! 🐶💕

If you’re driving, please feel free to put your hazards on and park outside the salon while you quickly drop your dog off 🚗🐾

Their safety and comfort comes first, so please keep those walkies short, stay in the shade and keep the water topped up! 💦☀️

🏆🐾 It’s that time of year again! 🐾🏆

Our salon will be closed from the 5th while we’re away at the Flyball Championships! 🐶💨

We’ll be back open as normal on Tuesday the 11th, ready to welcome all of your gorgeous pups back into the salon for lots of cuddles, baths, and fresh trims. ✂️🛁

If you need to get in touch while we’re away, please bear with us as replies may be a little slower than usual.

⚠️ Important Notice ⚠️

We just wanted to make everyone aware of a small change to our payment policy.

Unfortunately, we have recently found ourselves having to chase payments after your pet’s groom has been completed. This isn’t fair on us as a small business and takes valuable time away from caring for the pets in our salon.

From today, all payments must be made before leaving the salon.

We are providing a professional service, and like any other business, we need to be paid once that service has been completed.

We hope you understand why this change is necessary and we’d like to thank all of our wonderful clients who always pay promptly. Your continued support means everything to us. 💛🐾

🐾 A Little Salon Update 🐾

We absolutely love looking after all of your wonderful pets, but recently we’ve had an increase in no-shows, and we just wanted to explain why this has such a big impact on our small business. 💛

When an appointment is missed without any notice, it’s time that has been reserved especially for your pet. Unfortunately, it means another client has missed out on that appointment, and as a small business, it also means we’ve lost valuable income.

We completely understand that emergencies happen, and we’re always happy to help where we can. All we ask is that, if you’re unable to make your appointment, you let us know as soon as possible.

From today, any missed appointment without notice will incur a £20 no-show fee, payable at your next appointment.

We really don’t want to introduce deposits, but if the number of missed appointments continues to rise, it may become something we have to consider.

Thank you so much to all of our amazing clients who arrive on time or let us know if plans change. Your support means the world to us and helps keep our little salon running. 🐶🐱💕

The lovely Jazz the Lhasa Apso came in for something a little different… a creative groom with an amazing flame tail! ❤️🧡💛

We absolutely love getting creative, and Jazz wore this fiery look perfectly! Isn’t it amazing how a little splash of colour can show off your dog’s personality? 🐶✨

🌟🐾 Drogo’s De-Shed Day! 🐾🌟

The handsome Drogo the Pocket Bully came in for a de-shed treatment🛁✨

A lot of people think short-haired dogs don’t need grooming, but that’s definitely not true
— especially in this warm weather! ☀️🐶

💡 Why short-coated dogs need de-shedding too:

🐾 They still shed dead hair all year round

🌬️ Removing loose fur helps air circulate better through the coat

☀️ It can help keep them feeling cooler and more comfortable in the heat

🧼 It reduces the amount of hair ending up on your sofa, clothes, and car seats!

✨ It also helps distribute natural oils, leaving the coat looking healthy and shiny

🌸🐾 Welcome to the Butterfly Pawz Family, Bella! 🐾🌸

Everyone say hello to the gorgeous Bella, who visited us for her very first groom at just under 4 months old! 🥹💕

She was an absolute superstar from start to finish, taking everything in her stride and making us all so proud. Puppy grooms are all about building confidence and creating a positive experience, and Bella absolutely smashed it! 🌟✂️🛁

💡 Did you know? Shiba Inus are a fascinating breed!
🐕 Shiba Inus are one of Japan’s oldest native dog breeds.
🧡 They’re known for their fox-like appearance, curled tails, and bold, confident personalities.
🪮 Although they have a self-cleaning coat, they have a thick double coat that “blows” twice a year, meaning regular brushing and deshedding are essential to keep them comfortable and reduce all that loose fur!
✨ Early grooming is so important to help them become relaxed and confident with being handled throughout their lives.
