🐾 A little update on Tobi 🐾

Tobi was very poorly last week and his family were understandably worried. After a thorough check-up, Tobi had a heart scan, which helped us understand what was going on.

He has now started medication and we’re so happy to say that Tobi is back to his normal, happy self! 🥰

It’s amazing what the right treatment can do. We’re so pleased to see this lovely boy feeling like himself again!

🐾 EXCITING NEWS AT TOWN VETS! 💗

We’ve recently upgraded our ultrasound scanner, meaning we can offer even better care for your furry family members!

And the best bit? Our very own Vet Lauren is an absolute whizz with the scanner! 🔍🩺

Lauren holds a cardiology certificate and is available for scanning appointments every Monday and Friday.

Here’s Monty making the most of Lauren’s skills, all while receiving lots of love and attention from one of our student nurses. 🥰

From investigating heart murmurs to looking at what’s going on inside, we’re always looking for ways to give your pets the very best care. 💕

Better technology, brilliant people, and lots of love for your pets! 🐶🐱

🎆 Fireworks are coming to Southport! 🐾

While fireworks are exciting for us, they can be really frightening for our pets. ❤️

🐶 Keep dogs indoors and walk them before dark
🐱 Keep cats inside and provide a safe hiding place
🐰 Bring small pets indoors where possible
🏠 Close curtains, windows and doors and put the TV or radio on to help mask the noise

If your pet is particularly worried by fireworks, please get in touch with us for advice — we’re always happy to help. 🐾❤️

Stay safe, Southport! 🎆🐾

🐾 A little reminder from your truly independent vets…

You may have seen the recent news surrounding the CMA and changes to the veterinary industry.

So, we thought we’d remind you who we are ❤️

We’re truly independent — not part of a corporate group, not owned by a large chain, and proudly local.

Our practice has been caring for pets and their families in the community for 75 years. 🐾

For us, it’s always been about knowing you, knowing your pets and providing personal, compassionate care.

The industry may be changing, but who we are isn’t.

❤️ 75 years. Truly independent. Still proudly local.

Invisible threats spread in ordinary places. Walking through puddles, shared water bowls and contact with other animals can all pose risks to cats and dogs. 🦠🦠

Vaccination is the most reliable protection from diseases such as parvovirus, leptospirosis, contagious cough and feline panleukopenia. 😟

Call or pop into the practice if you would like to discuss your pet's vaccinations!

Keep them safe. Keep them vaccinated. 💉
