We wish to advise you that due to reduced staff numbers we will close at 2:00pm on Friday 4th September 2026.
We will resume our normal opening hours from 8:30 am - 6:30pm on Saturday 5th September 2026.
In the event of an emergency if our practice is closed, please us on 01704 796992 where you will find the details of our dedicated Out of Hours team.

A male entire domestic rabbit was found in the Cheltenham Way area of Southport today and has been brought into our care.

He is safe and receiving lots of attention from our team while we try to locate his owner.

If you have any information or think he may belong to you, please contact Southport Veterinary Centre on 01704 796992 during our normal opening hours. Please note, we will require proof of ownership.

Back to school isn't just a big change for children - it can be a big adjustment for pets too. 📚

As the summer holidays come to an end, our pets often have to get used to quieter homes, new routines and spending more time on their own.

To help them settle back into the school routine:
🐾 Gradually reintroduce time alone
🧩 Keep them busy with enrichment toys and puzzle feeders
🚶 Stick to regular walks and feeding times
💙 Make time for quality cuddles and play before and after school
