We are Matt & Jan and we have extensive experience looking after and loving dogs. Since very young age, we both have had the privilege to share daily life with several family dogs and for 12 years we were the devoted Pawrents to Macy, our precious Beagle. Sadly Macy passed away a few years ago and although we don't feel the time is right yet to have another dog of our own, we have a lot of love to give and will care for your furkid as we would for our own. So, if you're looking for a trustworthy and caring home from home environment for your dog, you've found it at Ruffles Dogs! We live in a spacious and comfortable home in Ingress Park, Greenhithe and we are equally passionate about dogs. We both stepped away from corporate careers in 2016 and now dedicate 100% of our time to Ruffles Dogs, constantly adding to our skills and knowledge with CPD. Dog First Aid Certified, Dog Nutrition & Well-being geeks and last year Jan qualified as K9 Behaviour Trainer & Owner Coach. Your dog will be accompanied, kept safe and entertained all day long, 24/7 and never left alone. As you will see from the pictures, our home is clean and simply furnished, ensuring the safety and comfort of your furkids at all times. Last year we added a dedicated doggy daycare room, which was our lounge before. We can provide clean bedding and blankets and will of course also be happy to accept your dog's own bedding, toys etc. In our home, your dog is welcome to sleep wherever he or she usually sleeps in your home. There is a medium sized walled garden so plenty of secure outdoor space for playing and relaxing in the fresh air and sunshine! Ingress Park has many outdoor spaces for on-lead walks including a riverfront walk, a terraced green in front of Ingress Abbey plus a heritage trail through the woods and there are always plenty of other four-legged friends using the park for your dog to interact with and make new friends. There are also country parks just a short drive away which are perfect for a change of scene and new smells to sniff, keeping your dog happy and stimulated. We walk your dog as often as requested, as per their usual routine. We will feed your dog based on your instructions and recommend you provide your dog's own food to avoid any upset due to change of diet. We can also take care of any special dietary requirements or preparation of specific food and can also administer any basic medications your dog may need. We offer basic grooming while your dog stays with us, including bath/shower (as necessary or in accordance with your instructions), daily brushing, ear cleaning and brushing of teeth, as required. We know how it feels to leave your furkid in someone else's care so to put your mind at rest we will send you frequent pupdates with photos and videos of your dog being cared for and enjoying their staycation with us and their Ruffles family. So no need for you to worry and you can fully enjoy your time away. We can also arrange skype/facetime calls if you'd prefer to chat with your dog in real time (where time difference allows, of course)! Please note that we can only accept dogs who are fully house trained, up to date with annual vaccinations and are on regular tick & flea prevention.
