This is something I see very often. Practitioner caused laminitis/founder is a term that some people aren’t comfortable with, however, if a horse has a metabolic or dietary issue it would affect all 4 hooves.

This mare is currently in rehab using frequent proper trimming.

She’s 26, she has PSSM and she’s flying along 👌🏼😍 been trimmed this way for years and doing very well for her age. Her owner keeps a careful eye on her diet and management which helps incredibly. Whole horse wellbeing 💞

Where we were vs where we are 📸

❌ This horse was not sound on her previous hooves, she was on box rest and a restricted diet

✅ Now she is sound, she lives out 24/7/365 and she has long strand fibre constantly available
