I've had a crazy few weeks and have gotten a little behind with posting, so here are just a few of the gorgeous faces that have been keeping me busy! 🥰

I've had such a lovely bunch of dogs through the salon recently, all with their own little personalities, and it's always a pleasure getting them looking and feeling fresh again. ✂️🐶

Dragon came in for a full groom to get him feeling fresh and comfortable again. 💙

He had a cute teddy bear groom and absolutely smashed it. I absolutely love his little face, and I still think Dragon is such a cool name for a Shih Tzu! 🐉

He was such a lovely boy to groom and did brilliantly from start to finish. 🐾

Ruby is such a beautiful dog, and she came in for a little summer freshen-up last week. 💜

Her groom was all about making the most of her lovely features with a tidy trim, a fresh bath and plenty of pampering. She was such a good girl throughout her groom! 🥰🐾

🐾✨ Delilah's second puppy groom! ✨🐾

Isn't she just adorable? 🥹💕 Delilah was an absolute superstar on the grooming table and took everything in her stride.

One thing I always like to explain is that puppy grooms aren't always about achieving a perfect haircut.
They're about building confidence, creating positive experiences, and gently introducing puppies to the grooming process.

Every puppy is different, and each one will only tolerate so much at each appointment – and that's absolutely okay! We work at their pace, focusing on handling, desensitisation and creating happy associations with grooming, while tidying up what they're comfortable with.

Well done, Delilah! You absolutely smashed your second puppy groom. 💕🐾

☀️ Kida's first appointment with me! 🐾💜

Kida came to see me during last week's heatwave. Thankfully, with the salon's air conditioning running, we were able to keep her cool and comfortable throughout her groom. ❄️

She was an absolute superstar from start to finish! We went for a nice short clip to help keep her comfortable in the warmer weather, while still leaving her looking soft and balanced.

She was such a sweet girl and a pleasure to groom. 🐾🐩🥰

✨ A groom I did on my beautiful girl, Misty, last week. 💜🐾

Misty isn't just my dog – she's my heart dog. She's been by my side through some of the hardest and happiest moments of my life, and I genuinely wouldn't be the person I am today without her.

When I was studying to become a dog groomer, she was my patient little model. We practised handling together almost every day, and she helped me build the confidence and skills that eventually led to me opening my own salon.

In fact, Misty's Dog Grooming is named after her. 💕

For her groom, she had a bath, blow dry, full deshed, sanitary trim and a scissor tidy. As she's a double-coated breed, I don't clip her body coat—keeping it healthy is always the priority.

Thank you for being my best friend for the last seven years, Misty. Here's to many more grooms together. 🥰🐾

☀️ Keeping your pups cool this summer! 🐾

With the hot weather forecast next week, I've borrowed a portable air conditioning unit to help keep the salon cool and comfortable for all of my furry clients. ❄️🐶

The salon may look a little less aesthetically pleasing than usual with a rather large air conditioning unit and vent hose in place, but your dog's comfort and safety always come first. 💜

As always, fresh water will be available throughout your dog's entire appointment, and I'll be offering extra comfort breaks if they're showing any signs of stress or getting too warm.

As part of my commitment to ongoing professional development, I've recently reviewed current guidance and best practice surrounding non-anaesthetic dental care.

Going forward, all Emmi-pet sessions at Misty's Dog Grooming will focus solely on the ultrasonic toothbrush treatment itself.

Emmi-pet is designed to complement your pet's dental routine and support their oral hygiene, but it does not replace routine veterinary dental care.

If you're ever concerned about your pet's teeth, gums, or breath, please contact your vet for advice.
