Join us over 6 week where we introduce you and your dogs to the world of scent work. Over the course we work through:
🐾 Identifying the target odor and making it smaller and smaller
🐾 Searching for the target odor within a pipe lineup
🐾 Searching for the target odor among a bag lineup
🐾 Searching for the target odor within a chair lineup
🐾 Searching a vehicle for the target odor

🎉 Huge Congratulations to our recent Bronze and Silver Life Skills Graduates!🥉🥈 FINALLY 🤣

Well done to Buddy, Coco, Milo, Rory, Socks, Tilly, Rula and Snoop de loop – you’ve all been absolute stars over the past god knows how many weeks! 🤪🌟🐶

These guys have all been so incredibly patient over the last few weeks with the heat wrecking absolute havoc over our sessions with 50% off their class being cancelled then rescheduled they have been dedicated throughout and so understanding 👏

You’ve all made amazing progress and we couldn’t be prouder of the teamwork you’ve demonstrated 🐕✨

Is your dog a barker? Before you can solve it you need to understand what is behind it, and it is rarely as simple as people think!

There are actually several very different reasons dogs bark and each one needs a completely different approach. We have broken them all down in this carousel so swipe through and see which one sounds most like your dog!

The most important thing to remember is that barking is always communication. Your dog is not being naughty they are trying to tell you something. Finding a qualified and accredited trainer to help you identify the cause and put together a proper plan is the best thing you can do for both of you.

This is what these sessions are all about, puppies learning good social etiquette with us guiding them through it. We’re aiming to build confident yet well mannered puppies, not delinquents that terrorise the neighbourhood.

Once a puppy is deemed confident we move them onto our Social Skills sessions, where they learn to focus on their human around other dogs.

Some puppies only need one or two Puppy Conversations sessions before moving on, others benefit from more. Either way we tailor the sessions to set your puppy up for success and help them grow into a well rounded, sociable adult dog.

Sessions are run every Saturday at 9am in the River Hamble Country Park.

Easiest way to improve your dogs loose lead walking?

Use a longer lead.

So many leads sold in pet shops are simply not long enough to allow a dog to sniff on their walk and behave naturally without hitting the end. If you want your dog to be more successful on their loose lead walking training then make it easier for them to succeed! If they only need to take two steps to go wrong your training is going to be a lot more draining for both you and your dog!

2 metres is the ideal length for loose lead walking. You don’t want it too long or it could be dangerous by roads etc but long enough so they can move freely without constant restriction.

Does your puppy jump up at you, your visitors, or people you pass on a walk? You're not alone, and it's not because they're being naughty.

Jumping up is actually a really natural behaviour rooted in how puppies seek food and attention from their mum. The trouble is, without meaning to, we often reinforce it ourselves, whether that's fussing them when they're small and cute, or even telling them "off" and giving them attention that way.
