Think very carefully before you take your dog on a walk this week. With a rare red heat warning being issued in parts of the UK, hot pavements and high temperatures can quickly put dogs at risk 💔

Please share this post to reach more dog owners.

Hold the back of your hand to the ground for several seconds. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for your dog's paws.

Walk dogs during the coolest times of the day, such as early morning or late evening. On exceptionally hot days, it may be best to avoid walks altogether and instead focus on enrichment activities and keeping your dog cool and comfortable at home.

We received this wonderful update on Shadow and Peanut and thought we would share. They are doing really well in their new homes.

“Hello to you all,

Sorry we have not been in touch about Peanut and Shadow before, but walkies and games on the lawn take up so much time!!! These two playmates behaved very well in the car, and walked into the bungalow and took over as if they owned it! They love curling up with us, and Shadow is of course always ready to have a toy in his mouth, even if it is taken from Peanut! They started off by waking us up very early, but we seem to have got them to sleep a little later now. When they are let out in the morning first thing they race round to check everything out, and we were really surprised how quick Peanut is on her little legs!

Both dogs are very happy to greet all the local dogs which is nice, and although Shadow is of course strong on the lead this is mostly heading towards home. We have taken them to the Vets for theirs jabs which went well, and also to the pet shop in town for a new harness each. Poor little Peanut was wearing wet clothing whenever it rained! They loved the attention and treats!

I will try to get some pictures to you.

We are both so happy to have these dogs with us, and all credit to you all for the care they have had.

Working in rescue your phone can very quickly fill up with photos of cats and kittens!! But when they are sleeping having filled their tums and run around like crazy, climbing and playing.
Here are just a few from this year and we are only 6 months in!!!!
If you are thinking of adopting kittens please come to a rescue like us.
We are looking for homes for pairs. Access to a safe garden away from main roads is requested.
