INDEPENDENT VETERINARY PRACTICES
Most pet owners are aware by now that the majority of veterinary practices are in corporate ownership. All practices want to give the best possible service they can but their aim is usually to do it in the most profitable way.
Independent practices need to make a living but they are usually far more mindful of their veterinary oath of putting the best interest of their patient above the best possible payoff. As there are now fewer of them they often have a waiting list for new patients but we have recently been hearing about some new independent clinics opening in and around our area. We have listed a few of the ones we are aware of below, both established and new.
Although all practices are now required to make their ownership clear some can be a little hazy so if it is of concern to you please check thoroughly. Also while some practices are themselves independent they may be partnered with an Out of Hours Emergency clinic that is not.
